I check for new music every Tuesday at Best Buy, Target or FYE. Dubb Union was the last purchase for me.

Sure, I buy CD's. If there's an album I want, I'll buy it. On a very rare occasion, when I'm on the fence about getting something, I'll download something first and skim through it to check it out first. But usually I just go by the reception and feedback an album's got and by what material I can legally check out before hand, like singles on so forth.

I still buy CDs and LPs. I spend a lot of money in it. Classics, rare shit and upcoming material, that's what I buy.

I bought around 85 CDs/LPs since March 2007. I can list it, have every record written down in PC. A lot of rare stuff. Last thing what I bought was:

Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold (Limited Yellow Vinyl 2LP)

... around two weeks ago.
It's funky enough!

Messy Marv - Cake & Ice Cream

This any good?

I didn't receive the CD yet. But I've skipped the cd once as mp3 (where some tracks have bad sound quality) and I gotte say it's better than "What You Know About Me" and his last "Draped Up N Chipped Out" record.

The only albums i've bought released this year are Ego Trippin' and Carter III. I still want to buy these cds that were released this year:

Bun B - II Tril
Reks - Grey Hairs
GZA - Pro Tools
The Game - L.A.X.
Ice Cube - Raw Footage
Nas - Untitled
Pete Rock - NYs Finest
Young Jeezy - The Recession

Its just a question of being able to find some of them. Can't find Reks over here in the UK. Most the time I buy my cds on ebay as i don't really want to pay full price for a cd anymore.

I buy cds because I lke to have the cases and artwork, and the physical cd itself. Then I burn it to my itunes library and my iPod, and I'll never listen to the actual cd since all my stereo setups (including my big set-up) all have docking stations plugged into them where I can play the music. I probably buy 5-10 cds a month, thought I am slowing down now because I pretty much have every cd that I want, and there really isn't that much music coming out.... I bought Raw Footage, Lax, II Trill, I haven't counted how many cds that own, but a couple years ago it was more than 775, so I'm guessing I gotta be up near 1,000 or over.

But I was buying cds looooong before torrents and the internet. I can remember walking to the small cd shop on Saturdays and having the guy hand me a stack of cds that were coming out the next Tuesday. I remember buying "Doggstyle" "All Eyes On Me" "Dogg Food" "On Top of the World" and many, many others the day that they came out. I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars a that shop. I also buy a lot of used cds on Amazon & e-bay.

And will be buying "Landing Gear" the day it comes out.
