Final Numbers:

Tim Lincecum -  227.0 IP/ 2.62 ERA/ 1.17 WHIP/ 265 SO/ 84 BB/ 3.07 K/BB   2 CG/ 1 SHO   .223 AVG/ .297 OBA/ .316 SLG
Johan Santana - 234.1 IP/ 2.53 ERA/ 1.15 WHIP/ 206 SO/ 63 BB/ 3.27 K/BB   3 CG/ 2 SHO   .232 AVG/ .286 OBA/ .362 SLG

I don't care about the W stat, Webb isn't in with these two.
The numbers are REALLY close IMO, if I had to choose I think I'd go with Santana.

^^You cant go wrong with either 2 however Lincecum has the better winning percentage and Johan has a much better supporting cast

what does pitching have to do with a supporting cast? there all major leaguers in the field, they can all make the same plays. the stats  Knuckles put up, show it all. very close, but Johan has a better ERA, WHIP, BB, K/BB, CG, SHO, OBA.

there both awsome, but Johan has the better numbers...slightly.

CC is 11-2 with 7 complete games & 3 shutouts, with a 1.65 ERA. that is so monsterous! GO BREWERS! 8)

Johan has the worst bullpen in baseball behind him.

as far as arguing whether Tim or Johan gets it, I don't know what their supporting casts did for them because I didn't watch the Giants and Mets 162 games

but by supporting cast I take it Spice means both the offense and defense behind Lincecum

obviously the Mets had better hitting than the Giants did this season - and no, all major leaguers aren't the same in the field and can't make the same plays on defense

if a pitcher gets a 3 run lead to work with early they're game is different than being behind and some guys (like Santana) can cruise to victory if all holds up

I'm sure his argument is that Lincecum had to work harder with less offensive help and control his own game more often than the offense starting it for him

I'm not saying Santana got tons of offensive help on the days he pitched, I don't know, it seems to say something as far as statistics go for Lincecum

I'm pretty sure the Mets fucked up some games for Santana as far as wins go, same with Lincecum....

someone should post up stats comparing their run support

at the same time Tommy makes a great point as well with the bullpen... but again, the Giants bullpen wasn't shit either haha

Early in the season Johan pitched a fair share of games with no run support.  It wasn't until Wee Brain Willie got fired the offense started to click.

Yeah Santana has a horrible bullpen I agree but The Giants middle relief is pretty bad to and the Mets offense is 10x better than the Giants so that is what I meant by supporting cast, like I said though you cant go wrong with either guy but I don't think Webb should be mentioned with these 2 right now.

because of the bullpen and lack of run support lincecum should have at least another 8 or 9 wins

actually I read somewhere the difference between Lincy's run support and Santana's wasn't all that much.  I could be wrong though.

^damn that could be but I would be a bit surprised, like we both have said both pitchers deserve it alot but I have a bad feeling it is going to be Webb who wins it,  alot of voters are morons.
