An RSS feed is something you can subscribe to that shows you the latest news/media on dubcnn when its updated

It took me a while to grasp the concept too... but once I did it has saved me a bunch of time... it is really useful/efficient.

Basically, you have the news come to you.

Instead of you surfing to all the different websites you visit regularly, you set up an RSS reader (like Google Reader and many others) and subscribe to the website RSS feed.

From then on, all you gotta do is open up your RSS reader and all the updated articles from all those website RSS feeds you subscribe to pop up.  Then you can quickly skim through and read those stories/articles/posts you are most interested in.  You can either read it in the reader or you can click on the link and it will take you right to the article/story/post on the website.

I use a Mac and use NetNewsWire as my RSS reader.

On the browser Opera they just pop up in the corner like an Instant Message when a new article appears, you can use FireFox and IE to subscribe too if you don't want the other software.
