^^nah, i havnt heard the whole album. you're right on that.but if the 2 songs that are supposed to be on the album are anything to go by, then the album wont even be worth downloading.i'm just hopin that the LP sounds nothing like what has been heard already, and that he still is stayin true to the gfunk music.if he does that, then i'll buy the album, and encourage others to aswell.the best scenario is that both those 2 tracks dont end up on the album, and warren releases a different single from the hopefully gfunk sounding album, and then he can put those 2 terrible tracks as bonus tracks on the single.we fans aint close minded,...we just know what we like, and we wont buy somethin that we are not going to enjoy listening to.
damn u still havent logged off...ur hurting everyone with all this wack shit u drop, it hurts more then getting the swine fluQuote from: Laconic on March 16, 2010, 08:21:33 AMTue, Mar 16, 2010 at 8:15 AM By: Ice CubeMe and Mack 10 together again? G-funk music aint over.there is still enough westcoast music lovers who love g-funk music.warren g can do well sellin independant records.but i more or less agree with you about the coolio thing. dude had his hits in the past, but he'll never be mainstream again.warren g apparentl hasnt realised this yet, and thinks he can make some lollipop bubblegum music for the mainstream with his single, but it wont work.warren'll never be mainstream again, so he dont need to make a record for the mainstream, because the mainstream wont be the ones buyin his records.its real westcoast music lovers who will be buyin it, and they dont wanna hear no commercial lollipop music.if warren doesnt keep it straight westcoast/gfunk on this upcoming record, i believe it wont sell.look at tha dogg pound albums by daz and kurupt lately,.... all of them are released on the independant and be sellin over 100k.i believe this 100wayz album will sell over 100k aswell. they be keepin their music straight westcoast, by making music only for their solid fan base, and not the mainstream, and look how well they do,....warren has got the wrong mentality, coz he thinks he can still blow up, by making music for the mainstream on an independant record label. he only gonna be hurtin his own pockets by attempting this.

fuck you haters warren g is still the shit
Most people still think of him as mainstream longterm because of "Regulate" and all his hits over his 5 year peak run, but to your point, NOBODY is selling records right now that's in Hip Hop. The days are over where people would look forward to a release date and run to the store to cop the album. Warren is no exception, people are downloading music and songs no matter who you are.I mean, you are talking about an artist who moves 100k like it's platinum or something in your post.I happen to like the mainstream tracks like "Crush" that he produces and while they may not sell liike it's 1996 anymore, they still receive some radioplay on Power106 and are fun to listen to. G-Funk is great and that's what he does best, but I think it's up to Warren to decide which direction he wants to go -- the guy has enough tracks out in his catalog that you could hear any type of track.

RAPTALK.NET: Your answer plays perfectly into my next question. The track has a real old school feeling to it. How is that you’ve been able to maintain such a consistent sound throughout your career and still remain relevant?I appreciate the sentiment. Staying true to what I do. I think when people look to me for the music I make; they look to me for a very specific sound. They look for socially relevant content. They look for music that is consistently along the same vein of what they’ve come to expect; rarely do you get surprises from me. I pretty much stay in my lane when it comes to what I do when I make Paris records. The music is almost always funk and rock inspired hip-hop and the words always reflect the times. I always reflect the needs for continuing the fight for social justice and for wanting to see us do better. RAPTALK.NET: Rarely do we get surprises from Paris, but I think your one of the few artists out there that has a fan base who doesn’t want or need any surprises. You give them what they expect of you. It’s always creative and unique in its own way.Thank you, I appreciate it. There’s no worse feeling than taking another artist’s project that you love and followed there entire career; getting home and they go off and a tandem that is so far removed what you expect that the project falls flat for you. Ofcourse everybody wants to grow and as an artist you want to grow and do different things and experiment with different sounds and techniques; ofcourse you wouldn’t be an artist if you didn’t want to grow - but never lose sight of what people are into you for. I always keep that in the back of my mind. For the people who have followed me my entire career, and dig what I do – I mean I’m almost four million records deep independently, I have to recognize the fact that they expect certain things of me when I make records; I always keep that in the back of my mind. I always keep that in mind.
