It's been about 6 months since Suga Free released his last album called "Smell My Finger", and Pomona's #1 pimp is already getting ready to return with a new record called "Hi Power Pimpin". As the title implies, the album is being released through Hi Power Entertainment and comes with features from Mr. Capone-E, AMG, Mr. Criminal, Pimpin' Young and others.

The first single is called "Cali" and features the aforementioned Mr. Capone-E on the second verse. With a catchy hook and the West Coast signature sound all over the song, this joint is sure to get plenty of radio play in the Los Angeles area. Yeah, I havent really enjoyed any of the High Powered realeases.. Frank and Jess was ok, but was a huge let down for me. I expected alot more from them, The beats are what really killed the album IMO. I hope High Powered dosent do all of the production on this. And your not alone we all miss the Quik/Sugafree days, so many classics with them together...

Suga Free did his best work w/Quik obviously, but his other releases were pretty good too. "Cali" sounds aight, maybe a little too "artificial."

Tight song, a little different but better then My Dice! PROPS. Suga Free da PIMP!!!! Even though Quik/Free is classic, I can't think of another artist like Free who's been putting out consistent quality, enjoyable music for the last 12 years. Every album he makes is near classic.
