« on: March 07, 2009, 04:10:51 PM »
1 year, $6.5 Million, so says ESPN.

"I'm leaving America's team [for] North America's team," Owens said at a news conference in Buffalo in Saturday.

According to a source, the entire contract is guaranteed.

Owens visited the Bills on Saturday. He was released by the Dallas Cowboys late Wednesday.

T.O. will be his old self by midseason. Which will not be a good thing by then.

depends on the season they start off with.

they break out of the gates like 6-1, he will be fine & keep acting like he's changed.

but if they start 1-6, he'll make sure it will be his last season in Buffalo lmao.

but personally, regardless of how he acts, i would always want him on my team.

just a playmaker & difference-maker on the field.

Well we've never scene T.O. on a team like Buffalo before. They are a bunch of younger guys not used to or expecting to win anything. I'm not saying it will make him different, but you never know.

That scenario you put right there is Buffalo's season almost to a T last year. They started the year great, but faded down the stretch. I just don't see TO deferring to Lee Evans. Evans is still clearly their number 1 reciever. Now if he can behave and Marshawn Lynch can stay healthy and not get suspended then they might be on to something on offense.

Then I expect T.O. to be even more vocal then lol. It could work perfectly or blow up in their faces. But any team that would get him is taking that risk. Buffalo is willing to take it.

i know, but if they start off bad Owens will act a lot more like his usual self, opposed to a great start.

if they throw him the ball & work the offense around him, i think he should behave & like you said "be more vocal".

they are a young inexperienced team & he should try to act like a leader & they can clinch a playoff birth next year.

The Jills really needed a backup QB, look what happened to them after Edwards got injured.   They went into the tank.  They won't be a factor anyway.  Wouldn't be surprised if the fans in Buffalo say they can go move to Toronto.  Hopefully T Hoe don't make Ralph Wilson die of a heart attack, he's about 90 years old.

Man this free agent offseason was very disappointing.  I felt the best team for Owens was the Fraudgers.  Have him, Gates & whoever the other receivers are and the 2 rb's.  They'd be the best team in the AFC.  Pass more & run less to help out #21.  A reincarnation of the exciting days of the Chargers when they were actually likable.  A match made in heaven for the team also, he loves to run his mouth & the team loves to run their mouth as if they won the most superbowls in the NFL.  A match made in hell for their opponents who gotta hear their mouths also.

Yeah T.O. in a leadership role scares me. (Hidden agenda, cough!!!)

One thing that isn't being mentioned much is the other T.O. Toronto Ontario. Owens is the type of guy Toronto sports fans love. Buffalo shouldn't have trouble selling out next year, unless they really tank early on, and I expect to see a lot of Owens jerseys on the streets when I walk around next season.

lmao, no doubt.

but i mean, he has the numbers to show he is one of the greats & is at the age where he needs to take a leadership role.

its a hit or miss, but one i would take esspecially if i was the Bills & in the division there in.

being from Toronto, I hope we get the Bills lol

this is surprising

I don't think the Bills have a QB to handle Owens; nor the coach
