De La Hoya (past his prime)
Hatton (puts on a good show, but not a great fighter)
Arturo Gatti (past his prime)
Zab Judah (overrated)
Castillo (x2) (I'll give you that one)
Diego Corrales (never reached his prime)
Baldomir (he wasnt great, but was champ) (not a great fighter)
etc

I won't put him in the same category as Jones Jr., Floyd is better than him, but I still think he has been real careful with his opponents the past couple of years.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is the one I want to see Mayweather in. Pacman might be too brutal for Mayweather, but it would be a classic.

Mayweather was gettin up there in age when he faught De La Hoya. And yeah, Oscar was past his prime but had a huge size advantage. Gatti was past his prime, but he was completely dominated by Mayweather. Floyd would have still beat him easily 4 yrs prior to that fight.  Corrales was knocked around the ring by Mayweather. Other fighters like Hatton, Baldomir, or a lot of other fighters on his win list were either champs, number 1 contenders, or considered one of the top fighters in that weight class (Hatton).

^^A lot of people don't like Mayweather's cocky persona and his style, but you can't deny he was good. Besides Pacquiao now, who has Mayweather ducked?

As for my favorite to watch:
Mike Tyson (Obvious choice, but he had that star power and excitement where everyone wanted to watch)
Pernell Whitaker (One of my favorite fighters, took a draw and loss on 2 of the worst scorings ever)
Jermain Taylor (Always liked how he fought, he would be big-time if he had never fought Pavlik)
Arturo Gatti &
Mickey Ward (These guys battled, especially with each other, an epic trilogy)
Marvin Hagler (Him and Hearns put on a show in 3 rounds that most boxers can't put on in an entire career. He absolutely punished people)
Ruben Carter (Got into him because of the book, watched some of his matches and he liked to slug it out)
Miguel Cotto (Always a brawler, seemed almost invincible until Margarito beat him, would like to see him fight Floyd)
Yuriorkis Gamboa (An up-and-comer, fights sloppy, and takes his lumps, but he knocks people out)
Muhammed Ali (The other obvious choice, but his showmanship and skills were legendary, always appreciate watching those)
I got a bird's eye view

Didn't Mayweather avoid Margarito and Paul Williams?  I still give props to Mayweather though, what a tremendous boxer.  Many people may not like his style, but it was great to watch.

Paul Williams over the weekend was a fucking freak.  He threw about one million punches vs Winky Wright lol

you can say those two, which everybody had been ducking. Williams has had to move up in weight to get fights, he's just a freak.  Margarito turned out to be a cheater, so fuck him. Unfortunately this sport is still a business also. A lot of fighters didnt want to fight Margarito. Not because they were scared of him, but because the risk outweighed the reward. Margarito has always been a risky fighter to fight, but you wouldnt get the big payday. If a boxer has a choice, fight De La Hoya, a bigger fighter (so theres a risk), but receive the biggest payday of your career....or fight Margarito, still a risk, and make less then half the money. Which would they go for?

yeah i dunno. I like Mayweather, but after seeing Hatton get knocked out with that noodle-arm left hook he got hit with...i cant see him standing up to Pacquiao. But then again, its boxing....u never know.
