i guess it was never released because they used a led zeppelin sample that never got cleared.  as much as i liked the version on gang related, this tops it easily.

and if this link works, this is pretty good quality

No, GO Twice produced the OG in 96 and then Daz flipped it for the Gang Related soundtrack.

Go Twice might have done the original (I've never heard that though), but it definitely wasn't done in 96. The original was done in 94 when Pac did some songs for Murder Was The Case, but they did not make the cut.

That's not true. BetterDayz.net done an interview with GO Twice in 2002 when Better Dayz was supposed to drop. He said he first meet 'Pac in 96 thru Nutt-So, when Nutt-So was working with Hammer on Hammer's DR album. Nutt-So called GO Twice and told him to come to Can-Am Studios cause he needs a beat for his collabo with 'Pac. He said he did 3 songs with 'Pac - Ghetto Star, Life As A G which later became Life So Hard and Born First, Ride Later which later became Don't Sleep..

Yeah I have this. It makes me sad when I listen to it. Just so calming/real. I'll post it in a bit, just gotta find a file hosting site. You can get a lot of OGs from Phonkey Dee's OG's remastered Series. I got all 1-9, I heard he might have 10/11 in the works but I'm not sure.

I think what you're referring to is the remake. Swoop G told me he personally saw 2Pac writing that verse in 94, for Murder Was The Case (Swoop G wasn't even around in 96, but he was for Murder Was The Case). The song was done before 2Pac got to Death Row.

Ask The Outlawz or someone close about this. But the original was definitely not done in 96.

Yeah I think he might of produced the OG of the 96 DR version, which Daz then redid for Gang Related. But the Life So Hard OG he posted definitely was done in 94. The drums give it away that Stretch produced it.

and the fact Assassin can confirm it was in 1994 as well as Swoop G proves it i think
