As we previously reported, Rick Ross recently said that he was bored with the 50 Cent beef and was thinking about taking on Eminem. [watch here] Now Rick Ross is clearing up whether he meant battling Slim Shady or actually making records together. "I mean, I'm a fan of Eminem," he said. "I'm a fan first and foremost. But after defeating Curly, my confidence is at an all-time high. Maybe before I wouldn't have challenged him, but I'm contemplating it now. The game is commending me for my victory. That's all I wanted to do was ... punish the opposition. I think I've done a great job and I'm gonna continue to do that."

Ricky says that a lyrical battle with Eminem would totally get him going more than his recent battle with 50 Cent. "I think he's a bigger and better artist than what Curly is," Ross said. "So if I was looking to fulfill that excitement or that rush, that's who I have to address."

Rick Ross then said if it's not a battle, than he wants to guest star on Eminem's upcoming "Relapse" album stating "I'm trying to be a part of that. It's either way. We gonna see each other one way or another." Well Ricky, a battle with Eminem wouldn't really be a battle, more like a massacre and as far as a collaboration, well keep day dreaming.

ross is a douche but its pretty funny that em is coming out so wack that ross thinks he could see him ability wise. not gonna happen but on current form, they're both terrible anyway.

Some interesting things about what Rick Ross is doing here:

1) He's not allowing any of the disses or embarrassments to phase him--in the slightest. In fact, he's becoming more and more emboldened by every jab thrown at him.

2) He's clearly overreaching by challenging people with indisputably more lyrical prowess than him.

3) He's deliberately attacking rap heavyweights who are already perceived by the public at weakened or loosing a grip on their position.


Ricky's doing this to prey on their weaknesses, deliberately and impressively. Both 50 and Em are feeling the sting of increasing irrelevance and loss of fanfare; they're both desperate for a hit, for attention, for recognition, for a victory. Having some nobody like Ricky throw jabs at them must go right to their self esteem and hit all the right buttons. They go to respond with everything they have, looking for a show, a victory, the love of the fans... all the while Ross isn't even serious, so none of this even phases him.

In the end Em and 50 exhaust themselves, our attention and our patience with disses and the sort, looking foolish and weak for not being able to shut this fat twinky up... Ross runs around screaming "boss", claiming victory and getting better promotion than money can buy, solidifying himself as a heavyweight in the game.

Same thing with EVERYONE who's got at Jay, he's only responded to 5% of them because he knows a reply LEGITIMIZES them... and if he doesn't completely destroy them then he walks away weakened to some extent.

Mark my words if Em responds, ^^ this will happen and it will be the end of both of them. Which is inevitable anyways but I digress..

It's unlikely that Em will respond.  If he does it'll be sad. 

As far as i'm concerned Ross may not be phased mentally but his public image is.  How many people actually take anything he's says serious anymore?  He can keep making music but it doesn't hold the same weight.
