Since your a Muslim brother, I'm going to keep this convo respectful. So let me just say that I doubt you've ever set foot on African soil so don't tell me about what you've read about Africa. I've visited Roots island (James Island), Georgetown, Goree Island, some of the most famous historical trading centers of the white man in Africa and seen and researched the history first hand. I've seen and lived first hand the life there, and seen the business and social relations between whites and blacks there and researched the history, everything from economical to social, spiritual, cultural and so on. Unless you have been to Africa then you have no business saying such a thing to me.
I don't disagree at all with your example of the Congo. I think it is an outright injustice just as you do. But Africa is bigger than just the Congo. And I was responding to your previous post that it's the white man's fault that Africa is still poor with all it's resources (as you did in your previous post). I wasn't even denying you bro, I was just offering some perspective on the situation. That many of these so-called "resources" you brag of Africa having, were actually unknown to them before Whites and Jews entered Africa showed them how to cultivate such resources that have since become economic staples in the region.

I did not mean 2 offend you, I am sorry for that. But it was a lesson. You accused me of being a socialist, so in turn I accused you of not knowing Africa, knowing full well that you have been there.
so that behind, we just keep the convo on the subject.
And I would like 2 mention as a muslim, we should always keep the convo respectful. No matter who we are dealing with. A muslim, atheist, Christian, Jew or even satanist (there are a few on this forum.)
That said, My parents are born and raised africans, my grandparents are born and raised africans and that goes back.. I don't know how long. So yes I am also African.
We first have 2 differentiate between the people in power and the ordinary citizen.
Because most european people are good people. And european modern civilization is an amazing civilization. They have excelled in every branch of knowledge. And they still amaze the world with new knowledge and tech. But there is a but. In the process they have losed their spirtuality, thus also their moral compass the last few centuries. And they are heading, they themself dont know where they are heading.
If you would bring back people of 200 years back In Europe or USA, they would be amazed by the advances but really disgusted by the social morality. And would yell what have you done with our generations morals and values!!
Now the point was Africa.
And you mentioned civilization. What is civilization? Do you measure it with progress and development or do you measure it by human values and interaction.

France was during WW2 far more advanced then Morocco. France had roads,airplanes, lights, cars, industry. While Morocco was a french colony and was mostly living like century's before. remember it was the 1940's
Then the order came from Nazi germany 2 expel all jewish citizen 2 Germany. French Viccy regime complied, they expelled them without even protesting. Not from the regime nor most of the people. And we know the history and what happened 2 these poor french jewish citizens.
The Same order was given 2 the king of Morocco. Remember this backward country was nothing more then a french colony, so the king was a mere puppet 2 the french.
But he Refused!!
he said Morocan jews are our citizens, they will go nowhere!!
Not one jew was deported from Morocco.
Now if we take your defenition of civilization, that means we measure it by progress. France was far more civilised then Morocco.
But if we take the defintion of civilization by looking at the human values. Morocco was far more civilised then France was when looking at how they treat there citizens.

The regime complied because it was their ideology too, Petain was facist and antisemitic, and his regime was almost more zealous in deporting Jews than Nazi Germany herself. Petain wasn't chosen as head of state by the people. French Resistance was deep though, and they protected and hid many jews, as did a lot of everyday people who remained quiet. That being said, a lot remained neutral as well. I didn't know that about Moroccan Jews but I can imagine that the context is different from France though, as Jews represented a greater part of their population and had been part of the Moroccan civilisation for centuries.
But yeahwe can't classify Vichy's regime as civilized, it was backwards and facist.

On a different note: A good comparison regarding being civilized (in that aspect) would be between the Netherlands and Sweden. While, of all German-occupied countries, the Dutch handed over the highest percentage of Jewish citizens, the Swedish hid an impressive number of Jews, risking a lot personally.
