Also if we are so whack then why do we have one of the 5 best records in all of baseball the last 3 weeksdo you honestly feel thats going to last?? you really think the hitters will be there all season for you guys?? the pitching will be...but the hitting?? like i said, if the giants want to do anything, the time is NOW..yall got 50 games to move into first and get a good lead (wont happen), because once manny comes back, and once we dump the dead weight from the pen, and get some better relief pitching, its a wrap for the NLW. so enjoy it while it lasts, cause beside lincecum, it might be the giants sole bright spot in the season!

I know you want to downplay your rivals' success, but I can tell you haven't watched them this year with that statement. The hitters won't last? Randy Winn, a usually slow-starter and guy who has hit at .300 the last couple years, just strung together a few great games to get his average up to .260. Rowand is hitting at .240 right now, well below his career average. Edgar Renteria is only hitting .250. The hitters, outside of Molina and Sandoval, haven't done anything so far. These guys aren't going to make this a great hitting club, but it shows how impressive this pitching staff has been. This team lost 2 of their first 3 series, and hasn't lost a series since, including taking the last 2 against the Dodgers. This isn't to say they are going to be this force of a team, but you can't be serious taking them this lightly.By the way, Zito starts again tomorrow, get your popcorn ready!!
Great pitching almost always prevails, and if these 3 veterans get back to their normal numbers, they will pair up with Molina (who will be an All-Star this year) and Sandoval to form a productive middle of the order. That's a lineup that will produce more runs per game than they have so far, and they've still been winning. I'd be upset that my "superior" team just lost at home to our bitter rivals too, so I understand.By the way, that article saying the Padres have an excuse for playing in a pitcher's park didn't pay attention, the Giants play in a park known as a pitcher's park as well.
in all honesty tho..its way too fucking early to tell anything. sure im glad about the start we're off to, and im sure youre glad about the last few games your giants have played, but who have we really faced? the NLW. which has some great pitching, but lets be honest the hitting aint all that great when you compare the lineups of other divisions...except for the dodgers who have a very good lineup and some weak pitching. lol we're both gonna be playing some tough clubs in the coming weeks which will tell a lot more about the quality of our clubs. im confident the dodgers will still be in 1st place by the end of this month. and shiiit...i want you guys to be close to us...that way, in the final week of the season, we can eliminate you and crush your playoff dreams.
I see what you're saying, the Giants don't have many pretty wins, they normally have to grind it out. They don't have a lot of power in their lineup, and the management made some bad decisions in the past couple offseasons. Obviously, every team has a couple holes where if they were fixed, that team would be a sure contender. For the Giants, a power-hitting 1B would be a huge asset.Zito pitched again yesterday, did pretty well but he struggled late and took the L as he got no run support or bullpen help.
