Like Crooked I said, they wouldn't say no to Suge because they were afraid of him - once Suge left the picture though - they said fuck Death Row. That's why Still Tha Row never reached many networks.

Case in point, Puffy discovered Big. The fact is the only rapper who he stayed cool with was Pac, and he got murdered. Also, wrong. Tha Realest, J Flexx, Petey Pablo, and multiple others are still cool with Suge. The only ones who aren't are Snoop, Dre, Tray Dee, and anyone affiliated with those dudes and for the right reasons.Apparently not cool enough to stay in contact. Even if they didn't leave with the same feelings as Dre, Snoop and the others, they still don't want to fuck with him.J Flexx and Doobie said they would work with Suge anytime in the future. I'm not sure about Realest.

why feel sorry for a jackass?
Quote from: Mike Toreno on June 03, 2009, 11:32:56 PMLike Crooked I said, they wouldn't say no to Suge because they were afraid of him - once Suge left the picture though - they said fuck Death Row. That's why Still Tha Row never reached many networks. Alright, well, here could be the problem. When people are afraid to do business with the guy in charge of getting business done, it strikes me as counter-productive. Regardless of if the guy on the other side of the table is the biggest pussy or punk, it doesn't change what needs to be done. In the end, nobody is gonna take a meeting and listen to an idea that will generate money and then say, "No, sorry, I'm not fucking with that. I don't like the dude." Your Still The Row theory is speculation. How many videos are made for singles that never make it to MTV? Quite a few. Suge himself said it, "If you're hot, people will fuck with you." Put it this way. When Snoop puts one of his projects out on Koch and you don't see the video on MTV, is your first thought, "Oh, he must be getting black balled!".
muffuccaz been prayin for his downfallits fucked up cuz he was prolly the only one that could lift this coast and help it the way he did to begin wit (better chance vs dre or snoop doin it)
Anyone else think he's dick riding suge harder then a diamond???
Actually, that's not speculation. Lol. It came straight from Crooked I's mouth. MTV doesn't show music videos. Also, Suge and Death Row were getting the shaft in the 2000's like 50 was after he dropped Ghetto Quaran. No one wanted to touch his shit.

The reason behind it is speculation. As for 50, it wasn't after Ghetto Qua'ran that MTV gave him the so-called "shaft". It was after Columbia dropped him. He had a pretty good buzz during the Columbia run and I can even recall his video for "Life's on the Line" showing up on Sunday Night Heat in 1999-2000. He wasn't getting video play after that because he wasn't on a label. The labels are the ones responsible for pushing the videos and radio singles. If you don't have that kind of support behind you, it's hard to get noticed.

If I'm not mistaken the Still Tha Row video was banned by MTV (and others for that matter) because "of its overall tone", the intro alone was probably enough reason for refusing to air it.
Dude tries to get back on his feet and they still try blackballing him....MARION ‘SUGE’ KNIGHT will face a lawsuit if he continues with plans to call his music label Blackball Records - the owners of a company with the same name are threatening him with legal action.Knight co-founded Death Row Records in 1991 but lost the rights to the label’s assets after declaring bankruptcy in 2006. The company was subsequently sold off and Knight started a new label - reportedly using the Blackball name since 2008.But the owners of another Blackball Records, a San Fransisco, California-based firm, have issued a cease and desist letter to Knight, warning him to drop the name or face a showdown in court.Knight claims to have filed for the copyright in 2006, but dropped it earlier this year (09), according to TMZ.com, while officials at Blackball Records claim to have held the trademark since 2002.http://www.rapweekly.com/rapweekly/?p=3516

Ever since that "Tupac Assassination" was released, its just added fake fuel to a bullshit theory created by the media.Look up The rebuttals, I can't trust anymore shit from his security guard (not that I really trusted him before).Makaveli recordsi was going through Death Row, Tupac was working with suge on Death Row east, as well has having The One Nation album be his third album, before he would be transferred over to Makaveli/East.Now I don't have pure hate 4 suge. Because honestly in some aspects I have deep respect 4 him, and others I got no love. Just depends on what the discussion is.When it comes to cheating the artist, got no love, when it comes to him executive producing, well shit the record speaks for himself. again some aspects of him I don't have any respect, others I got respect 4. Just like every other mother fucker I know or fucking listen to.
