A title win does not make Kobe the best player in the world.  He undoubtedly has the best supportiung cast of any of the top players, but I don't know if this title makes him the best right now.  What it DOES do is help certify his legacy as he has now LED a team to a title. 

Title does not = best player in the "L"

It didn't when Paul Pierce won MVP, Chauncey, etc.   Robert Horry is not one of the best of all time. 

What a title DOES do is help a player long term.

Kobe impressed me in the finals, but its not like he was next level shit or anything.  Still poor shooting percentage, still forced shots at times, etc.  What is most impressive to me is that KOBE worked his ass off the whole playoffs.  PROPS to him.  Best in the league?  Close, possibly a tie. 

Kobe fans said before that he was the best because his stats said so, or that he was the best despite not winning the title. 

Now his stats aren't close to the best, but he won a title so he's automatically the best?  Hmmmmmmm

LOL....i thought people woulda gotten it by now, but I guess not....Kobe is the best and it's not even close. LeBron is CURRENTLY closer to the likes of Melo, Wade, CP3, etc. than he is to Kobe, Jordan, Bird, etc....said that many times and it still stands. LeBron has a ways to go until he can seriously be mentioned under the same breath as Kobe.

See, I have no problem with people saying Kobe is better, but to say its not even close with him and Lebron is a stretch man.  Saying shit like that is why 75% of the board thinks you are not knowledgeable about bball when it is obvious that you actually are (when your judgement is not impaired by your love of your boy)

I personally still don't see Kobe in the same league as MJ, but with a few more great seasons he'll be CLOSE.  I know you don't want anyone to be near Kobe, but Lebron is a great player on an average team.  You know what that is all about, right?  I imagine you've seen it before even.  Did that make you think less of Kobe?  When Duncan was winning championships, or when Paul Pierce won, did that make them better than Kobe?

Lebron will own the regular season again next year, but I don't see the Cavs making any real noise in the playoffs with the squad and coach they have now.  Kobe will likely get another ring if they keep Odom and Ariza.  But saying this win puts Kobe with MJ just isn't right.   Kinda like you saying you can't even mention LEbron in the same breath as Kobe. 

If you cut down on the hyperbole, you would come off as much more intelligent.  Just a thought...

true in terms of achieivements AND skill...LeBron needs to improve his game a lot more than people like to believe in order to reach that elite level.
