BEST ALBUMS IN THE HISTORY OF DETROIT RAP MUSIC?
« on: June 19, 2009, 02:11:47 PM »
this is tough for me to choose

here we go

1-Natas "Doubelievengod"
2-Eminem "Infinite"
3-Esham "Dead Flowerz"
4-Eminem "Slim Shady LP"
5-Esham "Closed Casket"
6-Twiztid "Mostasteless" (original)
7-House of Krazees "Remix and Rewind"
8-Dark Lotus "Tales from the Lotus Pod"
9-Esham "Tongues"
10-Natas "WWW.com"

honorable mention: I.C.P. "Riddle Box"

tough list to make...very tough.  but the #1 is clearcut to me, since it was Esham and Natas at their best rap + production wise (esham doing the producing, mixing + beats ofcourse)

left off Royce, Proof, D12 albums and the Marshall MAthers LP and Eminem show...just not good enough to make my cut

IF HE CLAIMED TO BE FROM THE D THEN WE COULD HAVE A DISCUSSION HERE, BUT I DO NOT COUNT PEOPLE WHO REP DIFFERENT CITIES INTO THE THREAD

Flint is a city of it's own...it's got a decent rap scene (Dayton Family for one)

thats like being from The Bay and claiming LA or San Diego instead...or Sactown
