Havoc Da Mouthpiece has been the hype man and driving force behind gangsta rap crew, South Central Cartel (SCC) since the group’s inception.  The offspring of the legendary R&B soul group the Chi-Lites, Havoc was born with music in his veins.  With some 10 recordings under his belt, with over 2 million CDs sold, including compilations and duo ventures with his partner in crime, Prodeje, Havoc Da Mouthpiece is finally taking a rest. But from his shadow has emerged his alter ego, Havo’Rochie, a suave, cool gent who’s boasting, Self Made Legend, It’s My Time to Shine! the debut CD release from Mouth Piece Entertainment/ Ground Level.  

“’Hava’Rochie’ is Havoc Da Mouthpiece reincarnated for the new millenium,” expresses Hava’Rochie.  “It’s a new approach and new style for the new era.  Hava’ Rochie bites from Liberace, giving you flash and entertainment on a grand scale.  I’m rolling with the Rochie Mamas and the Rochie Dancers and my whole production is on a grander scale.  After years of hyping everybody else, I’m hyping me now!”

Self Made Legend is 18 tracks strong with Hava’Rochie doing what Havoc Da Mouthpiece never did.  That is rap.  “All the haters and the doubters told me I was dreaming.   But Hava’Rochie is the real thing baby.  I’m rapping and mackin’ and lettin’ everyone know, it’s my time!” explains Hava’Rochie.

Self Made Legend serves up different dimensions from the personality of Hava’Rochie.  The gangsta grit of SCC is gone, bling blinging the way for tracks like the single release, “What’s My Name,” an anthem detailing the road to rebirth and newfound notoriety.  There are tracks that flow swift and mellow, like “Special Kind of High,” about a feeling that is naturally induced, while beats like “My Life,”  “Street Hustler” and “Da Hard Way”  roll hard core.  

Special guest appearances on the album include not only members from the SCC gang, but also Spice One, Bad Azz, and Kokain, to name a few.  Hava’Rochie also utilized a variety of producers for the project, including Marc n’ Tha Dark, known for his No Limit flavor, D-Black, and of course Prodeje.

“Me and the Rochie Mamas are going to blow things up,” cites Hava’Rochie.  “Then, when we’re through, I’m going to totally chill. I’m planning to take the Rochie Mamas, move to Saudi Arabia, marry all seven of then and live happily ever after,” he confesses with a wicked grin.            

From South Central Cartel, to Havoc & Prodeje, to The Murder Squad, Havoc has continued to make his mark on the hip hop scene, always in the background, lending hype to everyone else.  With the creation of Hava’Rochie, his signature style moves to the forefront of the game.  Hava’Rochie is a Self Made Legend, and it’s his time to shine!
