R.A.K.I.M + Wankstah were NOT produced by Dre
« on: October 28, 2002, 08:48:15 AM »
Sorry if I missed someone saynig this... but I just checked.
There has been much speculation on both these songs.

Wankstah was produced by John "J-Praize" Freeman and Sha Money XL

R.A.K.I.M  was produced by Kon Artis (he did a lot of the stuff on 8 mile)

Dre mixed them both, and thats all he did on the 8 mile soundtrack.

8 Mile soundtrack bonus disk doesn't have any credits.. i'm worried about the recent abscene of mel-man'.. last spotted on bones soundtrack right?

mel man was on Truthfully speaking. and these tracks from the bonus disk have a big dre/mel influence so I wouldnt be surprised if he produced one or two tracks on there too

everything has a lil 2001 influence these days. could be anyone.
maybe mel is bringing the newer talent up to dre's speed in the studio or something.. working on concepts... could be anything.
.
Mel was only involved in one song on Truth's album (see here http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=4939)

and i've been curious/worried for a while because of this too....

Quote
ThaFormula.com - So now comes your album. What I want to know is how was it recording "No One Can Do It Better" because that was the only album that I can remember where Dre produced it all by himself, without the help of any other co-producer or whatever. It was just you and Dre. This is the album I always tell people to explain to me when they say Dre can't produce by himself or that he jacks everybody's beats. There was no one to jack for your album right?

D.O.C. - Well, let me explain something to you and you can print this so your people will understand. I went through this shit with Daz and now they're going through this shit with Mel-Man. Let me tell you something. What Dr. Dre gives those young men, they can't give you enough money for, what that guy gives these young producers that are trying to come up. The only reason Dre even has anybody else in there fucking with him is because he's lazy. That's the only reason. When Dre is in the studio, that shit is coming out of his mind and none of these other guys are responsible for it and I was there from day 1, 'till fuckin' '94 or '95 when I had to leave. Then I came back because doing records with Dre is like going to school, because if you sit and you watch, and you look and you learn, the guy is teaching you how to make great records. Now with this new record I made, I'm only doing what Dre would have did, and I used my own judgment.  The one thing that Dr. Dre is missing now is D.O.C. and that's the same way that I would tell those young guys, hey that sucks!  I would tell Dre's big ass the same shit. Hey, I love you, and your the greatest of all time, but that's bullshit!

Yeah, Mel has been a bit quiet, plus, wasn't "Truthfully Speaking" recorded like a year ago before it's actual release this yr? (I remember Truth saying that somewhere).

Anyways, I like both these tracks but i'm not really dissapointed that Dre didn't produce them, so.

Mel said he would be branching off, doing more work on his own.  He also said he would want to start his own label some day.  I think Mel has been caught up with "Oh My God" and helping out with the start of "Detox."

Bullshit. Infnite was produced by FBT (Funky Bass Team which consists of Mark + Jeff Bass) and Eminem has claimed later that he did some.

Bullshit...I read somewhere that Kon Artist handled most of the production on "Infinite"...Maybe FBT played the instruments/bass or whatever (like they do on some Em beats), but Kon Artist was the main producer...I'm almost sure on this...

Once again NIK is making shit up.
Eminem & D12 said in a interview that Em & Kon Artis was taught production by the Bass-brothers, and that they was just learning from the Bass-brothers in the beginning.
The Bass-brothers handled 90% of the production while Em & Kon Artis was learning the basics.
Then Em added that Dre took over as production-teacher, etc.

DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT NIK SAYS IN HIS POSTS!!
90% OF IT IS MADE UP!!
