people dont know but there has been alot of underground l.a. artists who have made it real big(aside from Dialated, J5, Ras, Likwit and Crooked)....Volume 10 is an artist straight outta the Porject Blowed/Afterlife Umbrella...Pistolgrip Pump is l.a. underground at its finest...the whole style was what u hear from Freestyle Fellowship...Ahmad...hes down with Project Blowed...hes not an official member(that i know of)...but hes been down in the L.A. under...he made it big with Back In The Days...he still reps on underground tracks....Skee-Lo...people sleep on this cat...hes down with Project Blowed...still gets on tracks with them...we all know that he got big off of I Wish...but dont let that fool u...he still can rip the mic....

i used to say the same shit...then i began bumpin them...shit reminds me of old school nwa shit sometimes...to me Freestyle Fellowship is like a combination of NWA & Brotha Lynch with KRS-One....tho they came before lynch...thats how id have to explain it to u foos here...since yall probably dont know much about them

That Skee-lo track "I Wish" is a classic imo, that song was one of the best one hit wonder rap tracks ever   I'd like to hear more from him. And as for Ahmad, what is he upto these days, his debut album is pretty good, I know everyone likes the track "Back In The Day" but I picked up the album recently and it's got alot of other great tracks, like "You Gotta Be" and "We Want The Funk". As for Volume 10, I haven't heard too much from him but the last I heard was that track on the Blade 2 soundtrack.

There is tons of LA Underground music that is slept on.  One of my fav trax is off of Volume 10's second album (actually an EP) and features Kokane.  V-10 and Kokane both have a crazy style which surprisingly works well together.  Nice flashback!

L.A has alot of cool underground cats that went big, but stay underground at the moment. And they still have tons of dope underground rappers that still have to blow up. L.A is and always will be the capital gangster-rap.
