if joe montana and dan marino were allowed to play with today's passing rules they may indeed put up better stats than Brady or Manning did at their best

go look at the stats of YA Title or Terry Bradshaw and tell me if they would look like stats you want from your QB in 2009 lol

i am not trying to argue anything of the sort.

not Brady >>> Montana, not Brady >>> Marino, not even Brady >>> Peyton.

just Brady is ONE of the greats.

^Manning has a more precise arm, a stronger arm, but at scoring the ball i'd say they are about equal.

whether Brady throws 25 3.5 yard passes, every play on a drive & Peyton throws two 45 yard passes, a TD is a TD, a win is a win, a ring is ring.

sure, Manning can make a throw on a dime & can bomb the the ball with the same accuracy, but in the world of QB's, throwing touchdown passes is all that should matter.

Brady can't do what Manning does.

prove it.

Just watch his throws. They aren't as good. So unless you're saying he purposely mis-throws the ball to make his WRs work for their money then Brady cannot make them, thus he it is proof that he cannot do what Manning does.

if can't do what Manning does you mean lose in the playoffs, agreed.

Going by the topic of this thread; the can't do what Manning does means getting into heaven.

and all I'm saying is he's one of the very goods on a great team, like Aikman and Simms were.

and Marino's stats through his first seven full years a better than Brady's and Manning's so I don't know why Hack would bring up Marino "maybe" being able to do it just as well as the new guys. He did it better. Montana had the huge advantage of playing with Walsh so he gets no excuse either.
