apparently the ending in this screener has the original ending that was shown at sundance and other film festivals back in 07-08.  i wont spoil it for anyone, but its worth checking out.
Yes this one has a different ending than that is in the theaters

^ Lol,  I thought Saw was lame as fuck, I don't know why everyone loved it so much. This movie looks pretty good, hopefully it starts playing around here.
Saw has always been retarded.

LOL. When I first saw The Exorcist, after watching the movie the DVD wouldn't come out of the player. O course, I automatically assumed something was fucking with me other than my mind.

not true saw 1 was good after that it got lame.

LOL, to each his own, but the first one was the one that made me not want to watch any of the sequels  :-X

Personally I liked the first couple Saw movies, but I didn't find them scary.  I did think they had some nice plot swerves.  They've consistently gone down hill since the first couple though.  Now they try to rely too much on gross-out gimmicks.  Plus if you watched "Saw III" you'd know that they kind of "painted themselves into a corner," creatively, by the end of that one.  It's too bad they won't just come up with a creative way to end the series instead of just churning a new one out every Halloween.

watched this last night, didn't find it very scary or nothing, entertaining enough though. some good film making.

having read about about all three endings that have been screened at various times, the one on the screener is probably the weakest. the theatrical one sounds like a more conventional horror closure and the original original one is probably the best, albeit darkest, of the lot.

Watched the screener version.  I don't think our little town got the theatrical version, but if it ever does, I might check it out to see the alternate ending.  I thought it was pretty effectively creepy.  They do a nice job of building the tension in the movie.  I don't know that I agree with the commercials that it's one of the scariest movies of all time.  But then again, I rarely find any movies to be outright scary.  Like I said though, it was effectively creepy.

saw this last night.  i dont see how people get so scared from this movie.  i didnt find it scary at all...especially since you KNOW when something is going down.

i think people are getting caught up in the hype of the movie or are easily scared.  who knows.

*SPOILER ALERT*

i read the original original one, only screened on one occasion, she slits her own throat.

one shown in the screener, kills dude downstairs and chills for like 2 days by the bed with the knife before cops turn up and shoot her.

theatrical - dude gets thrown across the room, she looks at cam, some kind of cgi morph to demonic face.

just saw it, horrible ending.

WHACK.

edit:

so the ending I saw in theatre was an alternative ending.

THE original ending is on youtube for anyone interested. its 7 mins long, and its much better than the theatrical version.
