Of course skin color matters. White people feel more comfortable listening to (and representing) music from people they can identify with. The highest economical bracket in the US is white people. There are black rappers and artists that come along that are often more palatable to white people, but in the end none could be so identifiable as a WHITE person. White suburbia is intrigued by rap/hip-hop music but realistically rich Jewish Josh Goldstein from long island cant identify with Jamall Williams the Compton Thug gangster rapper who kills people over welfare checks. Eminem raps about shit white kids know more about and can identify with, that’s why white people would be more inclined to buy "The Eminem Show" over something like "Niggaz wit Attitude" lol

Eminem is a role model for all the lil white kids and one of the reason its because they finally found a rapper that speak his mind  +he's white just like them and funny remember the song "my name is" there was sum funny stuff on the video same with real slim shady if all this was from a black dude they would say what the fuck this dude is doin

Em has skills and all but the fact that he is white played a small role in his movie success. Promotion played a huge and I mean a huge role. For gods sake he is everywhere, my stupid little cousins wanted to see the movie and they dont even give a shit about him being white. all the care was his name was in it EMINEM EMINEM, on a side note i havent seen the movie but every1 tells me he did a hell of an acting job

and NIK damn Redman is dope and that comment was just straight up ignorant man!!!!!!!
