Its a G-Unit thing. Just like Banks sold 1.5 mill but he claims 3. Buck sold 2 and he claims 4. Yayo went gold but he claims to have done 3 worldwide. Lame as hell if you ask me.

well the game is a huge fraud so its not really surprising. i mean why does he chug bottles of water on stage like its vodka?

Because being on stage performing in uneasy temperature & humidity levels, will make someone thirsty and water would be best to keep him hydrated and active

Well the reason I ask,is when people get into arguements about game and defend him and how he was a bigger artist then g units other artist and bring up the five million sales and how banks and buck only did two each. But game only did two in the us,same as banks same as buck.Im sure if you looked at worldwide it would be the same sales as banks and buck.He was just another g unit rapper nothing more.Hell does anyone even have proof that he sold 5 million worldwide or they just take him at his word?He was a creation of 50 and g unit, not dre,no matter how many dre and game stans want to think that.

Lloyd Banks and Young Buck only certified platinum according to RIAA.  :-\

It took Game 2 months to do 2xplatinum, it took Banks 3 months to hit platinum and it took Buck 5 months to hit platinum...

I don't know if that proves Game is a bigger artist... but he sold more (twice as much) and sold quicker (twice as fast) than any G-Unit artist not named 50 Cent.

I don't know who to give credit to whether its Dre affiliation, 50 affiliation, Game's gangsta image that was marketable, or maybe all are to be credited not just 50 Cent as 50 stans would want you to believe?

Do you have a link to back those sales figures up?I checked the riaa site, and it seems it hasnt been updated in a long time. They dont even have any of others games albums listed,so are we to believe then his other two albums failed to even go gold or have a chaqrting single?Hell they dont even have 50 cents curtis album.

And you say it took banks three months to hit platinum I dont know where your getting that from,Im reading on the riaa site, that it was certified gold and platinum the same day,3 months later. Now he sold over 400,000 first week,I dont believe it took him 3 more months to do 70,000 more. This site they have isnt accurate at all.

I get my info from www.riaa.com at the gold/platinum certification part. Check the certification dates and check when the album was released thats how I got my information. That's how I came up with it took 3 months for Banks to hit platinum.

I'm not saying it's 100% accurate but thats the only OFFICIAL source we can actually check online. Maybe Game did sell 5 million then since it hasn't been updated since 2005?

The record labels have to pay for these certifications which is probably why they haven't been updated.

RIAA isn't an ideal source these days, and hasn't been for years

It's all those things. He was affiliated with a group/label that was doing big numbers. He was one of the first new West Coast artists to get a big push in awhile and he was being promoted as sort of a return to the classic West Coast feel of the 90's. That and it was the first artist from Compton to have their album drop under Dr. Dre in quite some time. He sort of had the 50 Cent thing going where from a promotional perspective, he had all the bases covered.
