Its quite suprising to learn tht KOD beat Mack 10's Soft White, BlaQout, and other hyped westcoast cd's ths year. Hw do u like tht record? I think it wasn't that great.

Tech has a great team behind him and his touring and work ethic is second to none. A lot of those releases you mentioned had poor marketing behind them.

but it didn't really surprise me when it didn't because that album isn't up with the times; i loved it, but the kids of today didn't even hear about it & if they did, the the album didn't have Drake on it lol.

Dude has a very loyal fanbase because he always spits crazily and is mad talented... some of it is not my sort of thing, but I always respect his talent and he's amazing at what he does

The bottom line is Tech's music always feels authentic. When he's angry about something, he goes off. I'm actually really feeling this album. And hate it or not, the dude outsells these other acts because he's willing to do his own work. Some artists are just behind in a lot of ways when it comes to keeping their fanbase going. DJ Quik and Kurupt are two of my favorites but they don't tour my region at all. They don't have much of a merchandise line in terms of shirts, posters, or any of that kind of stuff. The bottom line is you can't compare these West Coast artists because they aren't grinding as hard. Tech is selling because he's consistently releasing quality projects.

I'm a tech n9ne fan & it wasn't that great.  Blakqout was the better album even though there was a few minor flaws.  Those flaws are the whatcha wan do songs[original & remix] & the unneeded interlude.

The blackout was garbage...  Warren G's new album was garbage...  Mack 10 album was average... 

Even though i think Tech 9 is a dope rapper... i hate his music...  It always starts good and then the chorus comes in and it turns to a garbage song...

Tht shows u the lack of balance by rap fans. They copped the weakest mainstrem artist n the weakest underground shit evr. Tht KOD is str8 trash I think pple who can listen to tht cd without throwin up r as retarded as Tech9 himself. That cd is a 1 mic kind of joint.

Not surprising at all.  Tech N9ne is the number one independent artist in the US.  He has a huge fan base all over the world.
