Call me nostalgic but I am a big fan of the classic BC material, such as Sest In The West, Banging On Wax, even more recent tracks such as Cali is active...

But to me BattleCat is still my favorite producer!

1. Can someone up the Version of "Secrets" without Snoop.. okka mentioned it..

2. Battlecat is a great producer. I love his style because it is really soulfull! Listen to Faith Evans "Faithfully" or "Just A Dance" by Deborah Cox. That's the sound i was searching for soooo long. it is creative and originial too. Todays producers (like warren or daz) always look to other producers and copies them.. I mean listen to warrens new album or compare daz productions with live instruments from the death row days with his todays tracks.. look, the only one who really keep his style and develope it in a real and succesfull way is Dre, Quik and Battlecat..
Fredwreck is dope! IMO you cannot compare him with battlecat because of the differences in their music styles. That's like you compare apple juice with cola!

Blaqthoven and Jelly Roll are both scolars of battlecat.. even terrace martin!!! and now Amplified. This man gaves a lot of talented guys the chance to work with him and learn from him. Does this Quik or Fredwreck?

@Amp

Tell Battlecat that he should come to this forum or get in contact with DubCC to get an interview!! We need him back on the map!

Battlecat is my favorite producer rite now (and has been for a while), i just enjoy the type of beats he makes, the feel of them. on my itunes i list producers so i can look at songs by producer, anyway i can put Battlecats songs on all day and play some games or smokin, whatever.

props on the links, i was diggin those Christmas instrumentals by BC he def added his touch! All the instrumentals on those 2 pages were dope!

anybody got any of those instrumentals mp3? i really want some of those!

a top 3 produced songs will be hard, this list could easily change

1 Lost Angels in the Sky- Lost Angels
1.5 We Can Freak It- Kurupt
2 Dollaz, Drank & Dank- Short Khop
2.5 God Save Me- Ruff Dog (love how the beat switches up in every verse)
3 On the Grind- Kokane
3.5 Put Your Hands Up- Doggys Angels

hell yeah that beat is one of my favourites!

I think most producers discography will have a lot of the same vibe and sound to it. it is their signature.. from east to west.. dj premier, just blaze, neptunes, swizz beats, battlecat, dj quik, lil jon, scott storch... they have all had their time of BIG commercial success. Cat's most prominent time was probably from 99-02.. he was getting singles.. we can freak it, g'd up, high come down, nah nah nah...... His signature was in demand then.

times changed. Cat's sound has also changed tremendously.. it's unfortunate that most people don't get to hear all the stuff he does and submits to artists. i've had the "secrets" beat for probably 4 years.. not sure why snoop would pick that one over some others i've seen cat tailor make him..

all that to say i don't think Cat has lost anything.. He's a talented dude and has contributed a lot to music..

yeah you know i was jus thinkin bout this that cat never lost anythin...his style has always been this laid back style and low key profile
but talent wise lately he hasnt done much on a big scale for snoop or others
that secrets song might be dope but on a bigger scale for a bigger artist he could have made a much bigger song that could lift the coast up
i mean if hes possibly the best producer ever.....some have called him the best producer ever then how come the best producer ever isnt cookin up some of the craziest pieces of work?
and thats part of the problem he hasnt been gettin singles which is what im sayin...why tho?
can he make single worthy material?
yeah he can....so why hasnt he?
has snoop been ignorin him? lol
maybe battle cat can be the one to get snoop outta this commercialized industry cuz snoop makin pussy cat dolls muzik
damn u still havent logged off...ur hurting everyone with all this wack shit u drop, it hurts more then getting the swine flu

Battlecat has never been one of my favourites, he's indeed a good producer but a good portion of his material I've heard has sounded the same to me.

I've got to quote you, I used to think he was almost the best but no, his beats always sound the same... they used to be dope, but he should change.
