They would have stood a better chance with Kerry starting. 2 INTs and fumble for VY10.  ;)

Definitely. Especially since the team went 0-6 with Collins and have won 7 out of 9 games with Young.

LOL exactly. Don't mind his Young bashing..he doesn't believe that, he's trying to get under my skin  :P

Shallow is a smart football fan so I know he deep down agrees with what I am about to say. Young was bad but the defense was far more atrocious. Couldn't stop the pass to save our lives and that doesn't surprise me. Their starting WR's are 6'5 and we aren't built well to defend that. On top of that, our 2 best starting LB were out and I knew that was going to spell problems for covering Antonio Gates - Colin Allred was in no man's land.

It was nice to win 7 of our last 9, I know will get the win next week and finish 8-8. I would have liked to be playing for something next week, but oh well - we got what we deserved for starting 0-6. It has been a nice run though.

Next week, I'll be watching with some excitement however - CJ is 128 yards away from 2,000, something I think he'll accomplish. I'd love to see him go off for 234 and break Dickinson's record, but the 2,000 will do.

i think a mistake, turnover and penalty free game from Titans, would have still fell rather short. Chargers are just playing great football

Exactly, at 0-6 he was a due a win.

For the record they still would have lost with Kerry Collins last night, but I think that last night and only last night Collins would have outplayed Young. The INTs were bad throws and decisions no way would Kerry break out for a run to cause that fumble.

As for defense; this was one of those games where you realize the difference Haynesworth would have made. Rivers had Tom Brady 07 time to hold on to the ball. There was no pressure up the middle and he could just easily step up, look and throw. If he was a scrambler he could have gained 100 yards in that game. When Haynesworth played DT on that D he warranted double coverage and that let DEs get man to man and get sacks. So while the huge targets at WR may have been a lot for the Titan DBs, the complete lack of pass rush hurt even more. If the Colts play and want to beat the Chargers in the playoffs they need to come with complicated D because that Chargers O-line and those huge targets will eat alive any cover 2 defense.

A lot of those 7-7 teams still competing for the wild card are going to be eliminated this week. Titans are gone. Jets, Jags & Texans/Dolphins will also be gone. Pittsburgh probably will be as well. The winner of Houston/Miami will be the only one with a shot in week 17 because Denver will probably lose to Philadelphia this week

If Peyton tries to force the ball early and they get a lot of hits on him, he might be sitting by the second half with the Jets up. And the Jags have their hands full going up north but a big game from Mojo and they could win it against a Pats team already locked in the playoffs. I see Pit losing though. But I could see Denver winning and all would be for nothing.

edit- technically if Miami wins out and NE loses out Miami wins the division with a 9-7 tie. Not impossible, but not likely. Go Jags this week and Texans next week!

denver is going to lose, ill be rather pissed if they dont,

i could still see pittsburg showing some life and beating baltimore, but still miss the playoffs, unless baltimore loses, then goes cross country and loses again to oakland (doing some weird shit this year)

Peyton/Colts ain't losing this perfect record to a rookie QB - no freakin' way. I think the Pats will pull it out - same with Baltimore (although Pittsburgh showing some life wouldn't absolutely shock me; Baltimore is playing incredible right now). Can't see Denver beating Philadelphia at all. NE ain't losing out as bad as u want that to happen lol.
