It's gonna be up to Marc Sanchez pretty much. If he plays well they'll win

Rivers is too good to fuck up. And Sadot is right, Revis is unreal and he'll shut down whoever he covers but the rest will be too much to handle. The Chargers have too many options on offense to be shut down. Screw the run game, I put the game in Rivers' hands with all those weapons he has and I bet he gets the W.

Chargers win 23-14

Too good my ass. That system is built for a QB to look great. Volek could have started every game and they'd still be 13-3, 12-4 at the worst. The o-line is huge and creates time, you have LT and Sproles in the back, and 3 or 4 WRs with great hands that are 6'4 and taller. Dude has it even easier than Brady did. He can throw, no doubt, but I don't by all this 'team on his shoulders' crap. If the Jets destroy the pocket Rivers will be fucked and he'll look worse than Brady did last week. call me a hater and say I'm only saying this because they beat Indy those two years, but when Rivers went out and LT went out in 07 they still beat the shit out of Indy. I call it as a I see it, and Rivers is as over rated as it gets.

I dont think the Jets have enough on defense to stop the Chargers. There d was good against the Bengals but Ididnt see anything that wowed me besides Darrelle Revis. Whoever he covers will most likely be shut down but unless he can cover Vincent Jackson, Malcolm Floyd, Antonio Gates, LT, & Darren Sproles at the same time Jets are gonna be in trouble. I especially see Darren Sproles and Antonio Gates being issues for them. I go back to last year when the Chargers beat the Colts by basically handing the ball off to him and throwing screen passes to him all game.

how much more D do you need if you're #1?

basically what you're saying is the Chargers are going to be Super Bowl champs if there offense is too good for the best defense; which i have no problem with.

That's bullshit. Both the Jets and Ravens can shut down the Chargers. and they can run on them. The key to the Jets victory is if SD focuses on the run and puts the game in in the QBs hands will he make mistakes? That's the only question. If Jones and Greene have a big game then SD loses. If they get run blitzed will Sanchez pull a Tom Brady and throw 3 picks?

I wish I was in NY next week because I'd love to watch this game with Hack and Cham in a bar. I'll be a bigger Jets fan than you guys next week because of my hatred for Phillip Rivers. It's too bad I had no one to watch the Pats game with last week. I really come alive when Brady fucks up.

Fuck Hack. Nigga was a Giants fan when they won the SB all of a sudden when the Jets get in the Playoffs, hes a Jets fan. I live in NJ and I dont know one person who claims both teams. You either a Jets fan or a Giants fan. Point blank period. Fuck that flip flopping bullshit. If the Jets win Ill congratulate Cham and you as the real Jets fans but Hack is a joke. That being said I dont see them winning its just an opinion.

I'm not a Jets fan. I just hate the Chargers, and think the Colts have a better chance beating the Jets, if they beat the Ravens.

Rivers will never look as bad as Brady did or worse. Never lol. The system is great but I truly believe Rivers is solid. The height of the WRs is what makes them so damn dangerous.

Of course he's solid. I never said otherwise. I'll even say the same for Brady. They're both solid but he's not good enough to perform at high levels under pocket breakdowns. He's lucky he got to play this whole time almost completely without those situations, but that team's offense can be shut down. It has happened, and it has a hell of a chance happening this week. The Jets have nothing to lose and they're playing that way. And on offense Sanchez really shouldn't feel any pressure. He already came further in his rookie year than he should have. he'll be loose and free. And the defense will be pumped.

^are you just going to shit on every QB who might challenge Peyton one day?

Rivers should be high consideration for MVP; as high as Brees anyway.

I just bring QBs back down to earth. When Billy Volek can walk in and do the exact same job Manning does I'll reconsider. You think it's personal. If Manning played his whole career with super protection and either tall WRs with great hands or complicated screen plays I'd question him too. But I've seen him play like he did against Pit in 05. They lost but he played like a stud. All I'm saying it's see how Rivers does when the chips are down before people start crowning him "too good" for the Jets D.

i find it funny how you always bring up how bad their line is, yet when i watch a game, all i hear about is how good it is lol.

not to mention, Jeff Saturday is going to his 4th Pro-Bowl.

not to mention, Rivers has been sacked 25 times ( :o) & Brady 16 times (with that "HOF" line) to Manning's 10.

i'll never forget i was watching a game this year, towards the end of the year (might have been the Jets game) & Donald James made a sick block & the commentator was like, "as if this line wasn't good enough, they got the rookie making blocks like that".

why have Manning's numbers been his best? he's been sacked less times than ever before...

That's just foolish. Manning has had comparable and usually better players around him then Rivers had every season.

Volek didnt play against the colts in 07... Rivers did with a blown knee... figure your shit out before you talk. Volek led them on one drive against the colts where they just handed the ball off to turner every play and turner led them down the field not volek... AS FOR SAYING VOLEK COULD DO THE SAME JOB give your head a shake your blinded by your hatered for rivers therefore your opinion is garbage.

^LOL. I'm sure Volek's 4 passes attempts in that game were more important then then Rivers's 264 yards and 3 TDs.

Funny how that exact same line didn't look so good with Painter. Number of sacks and time in the pocket don't always go hand in hand.

Yeah because Manning's 1000 yard WRs have always been 6 feet while Rivers 1000 yard guys have always been 6'5. How is that comparable at all? Then throw in LT, Turner, and Sproles. Turner left SD and became a star in Atlanta. Edge left Indy and stunk up the league. Harrison left Indy and no one wanted him. How long you think Vincent Jackson or Antonio Gates would stay on the market? Don't kid yourself. Manning had great talent and Rivers has great talent. The difference is Manning makes his great talent look better, while great talent makes Rivers look better.

I know how the game went and that's my point. It had little to do with the actual play of Rivers and more to do with the lack of play of the Indy D. SD loses their starting QB and RB and still run down Indy's throats. Then get beaten up by NE. The next year the same thing. They walk over Indy and then Pit eats them alive. SD sucks. Indy's pre 09 D just sucks more (minus the 06 playoffs where they won two games by themselves). SD can beat Indy this year too maybe. The Jets, I'm not sure, but Baltimore if they beat Indy will destroy SD. Mark my words. SD has no chance at winnin gthe SB. They can get there if they play Indy, but they will not beat any NFC team.

so because Peyton has a better clock in his head than a guy who hasn't seen the field all season & the two times he played, he played against the number one defense & then the next week in a blizzard, that means the line is terrible?

The line, especially last year, was rotating. Injuries all around, but Peyton still put up numbers and still avoided sacks. This year he barely gets touched, and Painter comes in and has no time. There's isn't another QB in te league that can get rid of the ball as fast as Manning can. That's fact. Give credit where it's due. The o-line is an average NFL o-line. No better, no worse. Saturday is a great player, and Glenn used to be as as well, but Johnson and Ugoh are average linemen and that's where the problem lies, on the ends. Manning simply never had the time Rivers has. And on the run game the Colts could never power run. They were 3rd and 2 for the game against SD last year and they wouldn't even dare attempt a run, and we know it would have been stopped. Instead they go pass and a man runs unblocked right in and sacks Manning before he even finished his 3rd step.

say what you will about Peyton getting rid of the ball fast, you won't hear an argument from me.

but you mean to tell me Philip Rivers line is "so" much better? 25 sacks better?

his internal clock cannot be that bad lmao.

His clock no. What makes Peyton better with regards to not taking sacks is he is able to better get rid of balls, be it throwing it away, when lines break down, and he doesn't try and extend the play, which is what gives Roth all his sacks. River scrambles a bit more and it gets him into to trouble a few times. My argument is if he has 25 sacks in SD he'd have 35 in Indy. The other thing about the two lines is when they aren't breaking down SD gives more time than Indy. Not huge amounts more time, but more time. It's different offenses though. Indy is about quick timing passes, while SD is more about creating time to get open and then trowing it to the open guy.
