Kurt Warner = the best playoff QB i've ever seen
« on: January 10, 2010, 07:14:34 PM »
Ive seen Troy Aikmen, Steve Young, Brett Favre, John Elway, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Big Ben and Eli Manning all win SB's in the playoffs

I've seen great preformances by Donovon McNabb, Drew Brees, Rich Gannon, Jeff Garcia and even Kerry Collins.  And let us not forget Mike Vick in 2002 against Green Bay.

but the best playoff QB I've ever watched in my lifetime is Kurt motherfuckin' Warner!

the most yards in a SB game (and SB MVP), the 2nd most yards in a SB game, the 3rd most yards in a SB game, 31 TD passes in only 12 playoff games

I don't know. He's only made the playoffs a few years and he gas won games making bad decisions. He's been on teams that throw a lot and he plays very well but tonight was easily his best playoff game, in my eyes.

kurt warner:  31 TD, 13 INT in the playoffs with a 9-3 record

tom brady:  28 TD, 15 INT in the playoffs with a 14-4 record    (4-4 in his last 8 playoff games)

joe montana: 45 Td, 21 INT in the playoffs with a 16-7 record

i'd take warner over anyone

haha   keep in mind i've only seen NFL films edits of montana games

compared to Warner games live

but Warner = best playoff QB ever.   look at what happened to the Rams after he left, and look what's going to happen to the Cardinals once he leaves.

both teams will be in shambles.

Faulk was more valuable than both. They use Faulk in 01 and they beat NE. Arizona has Faulk (in his prime) last year and they beat Pit. Warner's tops in my book. Always was. But when his team is uninspired he suffers big time. He's great to have on a solid team. But I haven't seen him put a bad hurting team on his back and lift them the way I've seen Brees or Manning do. But when the team is playing good Kurt plays better.

i love marshall faulk....i tell ppl he's the best weapon in NFL history.  but you can't dismiss them necessarily and say it was all Faulk's team...did you see Faulk on the Colts before the Rams??   a great back but averages a yard less per carry.

you also had Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce, two future HOFers too.  and Ricky Proehl.

Warner is the one who made it to a SB on 2 diff teams...and played the position where you get the ball every play (therefore making you more important lol)

Wait a second here. The Colts were a joke of a team when Faulk was there. They never had a stable pass game or defense and were coming from behind so much his rushing would take a hit. In Manning's rookie year Faulk had 2227 scrimmage yards with 1300 rush and 900 pass. The next year the 13-3 Colts had James run 1500 and put up 2139 total. I truly believe Faulk would have out them over the top and made them win it all. With Faulk they would have beaten the Titans and the Jags and in the Superbowl it probably would have been the Bucs because I think Faulk's 2 TDs in the Vikings game is what made the difference. But if it was the Rams I don't see the Faulkless Rams beating the Colts with Faulk.

Still love Kurt though.
