Peyton just respects revis. Why take a chance and give him the oppurtunity to make a play.Especially since the jets number two cb is out of the game.

In the end,at least the jets got beat as a team and it wasnt sanchez making the mistakes. The injuries are a big difference. The way greene was running compared to the way jones is running is huge. This is a huge building block for the jets to build on in the future.

i personally would have went for it.

you can't bank on a pick or fumble; they are just going to milk this clock.

oh, i expect a ring next year; given we stick together.

Mark Sanchez has experience now, got as far as the AFC Championship Game, we get Leon back; the defense will stay strong.

we have a bright future. :)

but i am devistated after that first half. :-\

Yeah the first half was exciting. It came down to a few plays in the end.Coleman jumping for that ball early was huge.If had just stayed running that ball wasnt completed and the colts dont get a touchdown at the end of the half.A lot of hypotheticals but they jets could have won this game. They just fell short on a couple plays and it gave the colts all the momentum. But peyton was the difference, hes calling audibles on almost every pass play.

Having leon back next year and having kris jenkins back as well.Jenkins was their best player on defense when he got hurt.

Jets secondary has been bad today theirs no other way of saying that.Losing strickland seems to have been huge it shifted everybody and nobody has been communicating since then.Having ellis and leonhard wearing casts and unable to make tackles is rough.

^true that, forgot all about Jenkins.

Peyton got progressivly better; but like you said, the secondary has been terrible.

i don't want to sound like a Mets fan, but there is always next year. :P

You cant understate the importance of losing greene was to this game. After he left, the jets offense has done NOTHING.He was their best player for the other two play off games and he looked poised to have another big game.

also, how about the turn-a-round for that Indy offensive line?

we were getting to Peyton every snap in the first half; but they made some adjustment & gave him the time he needed.

& you can't give Manning that much time.

he's a playmaker.

he's had some huge runs for us in the last few weeks; but his future is bright.

it probably would have been closer, but our defense looked so "not #1-like", we were doomed from the kickoff of the second half. :-\

I hate to walk in on your guys mourning session but it went exactly as I said it would, minus Peyton staying away from Revis. But I think more of that has to do with how good Garcon and Collie were. And of course how good Peyton is. 377 yards and 3 TDs while still leading the team down to 3 first and goals that lead to FGs . If this wasn't the best D in the league this would have been 42 points easy. If Garcon and Collie weren't each getting TDs and 3 digit yards maybe he would have tested out one on one with Revis, but why force something when you don't have to?

And Cham, don't know why the mention of Brady. He's at home watching the game and neglecting some illegitimate child somewhere. The difference between Brady and Peyton in this game anyway, is not that Peyton doesn't dink and dunk; who would ignore a wide open WR/ It's when the throw needs to be squeezed in there he can do it with the best of them.

(and the difference between that bomb to Collie and the punts to Moss all 07 is that Collie's pass needed to be thrown in a window while Moss's were jump balls. It's not a punt unless the guy is all alone down field of it's a jump ball. I don't expect you to agree with that here and now but I feel like saying it anyway).

Lastly, to all the Jets fans; You have a great team than played great in these playoffs and great things will happen in the coming years. But you're not going to beat up on Peyton Manning for 4 quarters in Indy in 2009, and you can't expect a rookie to keep up with a 4 time MVP. Sanchez played amazing and I see big things in his future but it just wasn't his time yet.

Shallow you cannot deny that greene going down changed this game.He WAS the reason they won their first playoff games. He was running well and the offense was moving. When he went down the jets offense stalled completely.

Manning did what he does, but the jets offense was gone after greene left. That was the difference in the game. They were winning and moving the ball, when he left the offense didnt score again.

Greene went down and Sanchez stepped up. What they lost on the ground they gained in the air. Sanchez had a way better game than he should have had. Injuries play a factor and if both teams were fully healthy all season who knows how it would have ended up. A healthy Bob Sanders is as good as many player on that field today. Gonzalez was supposed to have a huge year this year in place of Harrison. The point is your Jets let up 30 points and could have been a lot more if there was some better play calling near the goal line in the first half, Peyton's fault. Greene was doing well and I'd bet he may have lead to one big play ad 1 more TD but I don't think the Colts would have lost either way.
