Never heard this song. Personally i prefer the Snoop version but it's interesting to see how the east coast producer used that sample versus the west coast producer.

Alchemist is a west coast producer too. He's not from the east.

True. I heard his work with Cypress hill.. if im not mistaken he was born in California ... but what i meant was that on this song, he is clearly going for that East coast sound , similar to his work with Mobb Deep.

Fair enough. I just can't believe someone would prefer the Scoop version over that Alchemist version. The fact that the Alc version actually goes down a note in its loop makes it far superior. The other version is just a continuous loop which makes it extremely boring after about 20 seconds.

aha! indeed, i hadnt listened to the whole thing, didnt notice Alc switches it up like that. Musically speaking Alc's version is superior, but lets face it, people who listen to the snoop version  wanna get drunk and end up with something like this ... ... so they dont really care about it being repetitive. But i feel you though, the snoop version can get annoying when you're sober.

That was a ill track. Alchemist's flip was nice, I agree. But I'm feelin' Snoop's more. On the real, I can listen to that beat with that hook for hours straight. Hahahahahaha. Eventually it'll get old but that shit is hype. A West Coast producer did Snoop's beat?? Wow. Guess ya can't get round that East Coast sample. :D Shit is liveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
