Fallin' like a Brick...
« on: December 03, 2002, 11:52:35 PM »

In your opinion which rapper/group has fallin' off from grace the hardest since their entrance into this hip-hop music...
I mean at some point in time each one of those act's were considered the top of the game types right there.
Now their work get's looked at through a microscope like whoa!!!

I love the diveristy up in this forum cause peep's love and hate the same peep's in here...I always peep the discussion we have bout who is slippin'...ect.

Drop ya shitt on this thread....
ImO I have to put down the greatest rapper in Westcoast history...Ice Cube, yo his music was so fucken hard and knowlege packed when he first came on the scene as a solo artist {N.W.A. aside...} that the stuff he generates now don't even sound like typical Cube anymore. {although it's still off the hook....for the most part} his caliber of Mc should only be droppin' classics after classic like he did throughout the 90's.
"Amerikkkaz Most wanted"
"Death Certificate"
"Predator"
"Lethal injection".....whoa!!

who can forget "How to survive in South Central"....classic ish... :o

When it comes to here and now discussions..
Cube has fallen from grace {rap-wise} the most in my eyez.
although at any given moment he can out wit' any rapper around....I know he still got's fire left.
When he drop's that heat everyone will Bow down again..

LOL believe it or not.... I don't think any of these people have fallen off, because they're all just as capable of tight music as they were back then, they just dont' do it.  Peace~

Dogg Pound.

Dogg Food is a classic record and went 2x Plat (i think) and everyone knew who they were from 93-95. Since then they have got worse at emceeing(Kurupt) and worse at producing (Daz). Most people who buy rap music don't even know who these 2 are anymore, has any of their albums even gone gold since leaving death row?
Charlie, lost his life right in front of the party...

easily for me...its wu tang...they went from making classic music...to dropping bunk ass shit...they went from highly anticipated to not even noticed...the last ghostface album to me was horrible...same with the last rae...and the last wu album had nothing to offer...i really havent heard anything good from the wu camp for about 5 years....aside from GZA releases...even rza beats have fallen off
