Question: Why don't I produce up and coming rappers like I use to? I got burnt out. Niggas couldn't take the baton and run wit it. I was sick of babysitting grown ass men and walking them through the industry. I felt like Dr. Frankinstein building uncontrollable monsters. How? If you DON'T make'em a star, they blame you.
If you DO make'em a star, they leave you. I got sick of that ungrateful shit.

haha, true spit.
snoopy gets alot of this type of blame aswell.

Not. Eazy wasn't giving the rest of the group their fair share of the profit. That's why Cube left

Cube left because his ego got so big & got people in his ear.

and cube wrote all of eazy's shit
no he didn't, MC Ren & The D.O.C. wrote some of it like Cube , in the NWA days

Eazy E never made cube a star.  Eazy and cube both came up in the game at the same time.  Eazy was not an established star that was known worldwide and all of a sudden brought in cube and gave him his start.  Eazy and cube came up hand in hand - both had a part in each others success.

Not nearly the same as all the people who cube introduced to the world.  Cube was a household name, a certified star.

Cube stays pretty consistent in saying that Jerry and Eazy did not pay him his just due. Even Dre says that as well.

yes i know & i think it's very weak of Dre.

i know, that's because they don't gave the guts to admit that they're wrong.
it's easier for them to stick with the story.

look Eazy-E got paid more because he OWNED ruthless records, i think we can all agree that this was fair.

Quote
i was the captain, dre was my sidekick
everything was cool until he wanted to get what i get

Eazy E never made cube a star.  Eazy and cube both came up in the game at the same time.  Eazy was not an established star that was known worldwide and all of a sudden brought in cube and gave him his start.  Eazy and cube came up hand in hand - both had a part in each others success.

agreed, it wasn't just Eazy, it was a collective effort.

BUT Eazy-E provided the platform.
i don't know how Ice Cube's career would have looked like, without ruthless records,
but i do know that no label was willing to give Ice Cube a chance at the time.
Cube didn't even think that NWA was going to blow up, hence he came with a backup plan.
that's when MC Ren joined the group.
when NWA finally start to take off, Ice Cube came back & joined the ride.

the solo deal with priority records came, AFTER NWA blew up
