I was expecting a little more from Terrace as well.  Something more like "locke high".  Still streetlights isn't bad, just not what I expected.

It is different and not for everyone I guess.

Some of the stuff you really need to be in that frame of mind. Other than i'm burnt, im drunk and all that I want - which was kind of party/summer tracks, the rest feels pretty dark.

I still love Streetlights and am feeling all tracks but "Scrape" and "Face Down".

"All That I want" ft Snoop to be next single....hopefully.

fair enough.

i personally feel like he did his thing on "Streelights", but that's just my opinion.

no beats that would make me want to listen to the Instrumental Album lol, but overall, he did his thing.

When Terrace Martin first came out with Snoop he had that Jazzy/soul vibe on his compositions and beats and that's what make me love his music.
These last few years he switched up his style into something more experimental like Quik did with the Fixxers and by hearing the first leaks of the combo Terrace/Kurupt
that Styles leaked last year I knew the album would not sound like a "Locke High" or "Signal Flow".
But I tried to get into his productions on "Streetlights" properly and I found the album musically on another level, I really think Terrace is a genious.
Heavy basses, great keys and percussions and a lot of instruments are used and make the album sounds really great.

Terrace is a good ass producer.  He just needs better artists on his beats.  Kurupt is legendary but no where near on that KingPin level he used to be on.  Good rappers make average/poor beats into somethin serious, and Kurupt didn't do that (not to say that is was wack bcuz 'Rup had that flame on a few tracks).

But as far as Terrace is concerned.  Overall he's better than alotta tha newer producers to come out, especially in tha West.  Most California producers ONLY have that same String/Piano melody in their beats, Terrace tries to do it up a little different, which makes him better off the jump.  I think if T had some "harder" sounds and added some more ghetto harmony to his sound then I could see him growing on more people outside of just "westcoast heads".  Also, he should try getting outta Cali and fuckin' wit some MidWest and Eastcoast niggaz, and definitely some niggaz from the south, it would enhance his sound overall too.
