3 times platinum!!??? That makes no sense at all! the album is only out fora few weeks except his first week, he didn't sell that much..

Can somebody explane this??

it's kind of misleading because back when All Eyez On Me came out you couldn't touch it in the stores for less than 20. i think i paid 24. now double albums come out in Best Buy and Target and what not for 16.99 or less which is what single cds used to be. so it's no big deal for people to drop 17 for a double cd.

Oh ok, so jay z did only sell 300,000 thousand the first week and not 600,000???
And 2pac did only sell 190,000 copies and not 380,000?

actually, i think jay z did actually sell 545,000 first week (provided def jam didnt buy half of em of course)

but as of now...the album has only sold like 1,000,000 and i guess its certified triple cuz it probably scanned another million...i dunno

im still upset at the numbers for the new snoop./...

Actually those are shipments to retailers who bought 1.5 million copies and Jay has sold approximately 1 million in 4 weeks...He's gonna sell 2 million tops with this album so he'll be certified 4X plat next to his name which looks better I guess...
