So Jay Z is the GOAT you tell me? let's take a look

Reasonable Doubt - (4.5) That's right NOT a classic, it is it's the second most overrated classic of all time, people who call this classic, put this album next to real classic from other NYC rappers like Nas, Rakim, BIG, KRS.... and you realize this album isn't in the same stratosphere of those album.  It's still a great album though, just not a classic
Vol. 1 - (3.5) Predictable sophomore slump but still a solid effort
Vol. 2 - (3.0) Had huge hits, but takeaway the singles and you realize the rest of the tracks are terrible (except "It's Like That" which is one the best tracks on the album)
Vol. 3 - (2.0) Again, people only remember the singles, the rest of the album is unbearable
Blueprint - (4.0) For some reason a lot of idiots consider this a classic, so this makes it the most overrated classic of all time, this a good album carried by excellent production
Blueprint 2 - (2.5) Too much, cut out all the filler and your left with an EP let alone a double LP
Black Album - (4.5) Arguably his best album,  he should have left the game on this album
Kingdom Come - (2.0) Come on now....
American Gangster - (4.0) Very good concept album, too bad it's overlooked because I feel he returned to form with this album
Blueprint 3 - (2.0) This is nothing more then him masturbating to himself for for 60 minutes

But let's be sum it up, being a great hip hop artist has nothing to do with music or talent, just how much money you make and  albums sold

Agree with all of this, maybe give Blueprint 4.5 and Vol.1 a 4 though. Jiggas dope, he gets hated on wayyy to much round here. I dunno bout the definitive GOAT but he's definitely a contender. To me Black Album is his dopest, if he had actually retired after that shit would of been amazing finish

I wouldn't say he's too elite, he just picks his battles carefully. Word to Takeover and Dig A Hole. If he's not gonna gain anything by battling a scrub who's coming at him sideways for no reason then whats the point. He just let them kill themselves off
