First of all, one guy says Biggie is no better than Rick Ross, then we have someone else suggesting one of hip-hop (or even music)'s most loved figures was overrated. In what way did i suggest that Tupac was over rated in my first post? In case you didn't know, a question is much different than a suggestion.erm....in the title? You know, the thing at the very top in bold writing that says "is 2pac overrated?"You wrote it.

However, if the Makaveli album had the best tracks, composed from the handwritten tracklists then it could have been the best rap album of all time.

I'd love to know how you figure that to be the case. What exactly is missing from the album that brings it down?
His angelic image is over-rated. His click the Outlawz are over-rated. His gangster image is over-rated. Guy was the best at what he done IMO but I'd say he was over-rated in some sense, but not his status
For example tracks like when thugz cry, lost souls, maybe the inclusion of friendz
Ppl gotta remember, lyrical ability isn't the end all be all. A true MC is well rounded. Some of these lyrical dudes can't write a song to save their asses or they try and tell a story or deliver a message and it gets lost in a bunch of metaphors and lyrical parades. Pac was the most lyrical, but he wasn't Soulja Boy either. I'd give him a B on lyrical skills. But he had a presence on the mic or what the kids call swagger now. He could tell a great story painting a image that your imagination would wrap around. He could bring out raw emotions on records. Do records that make you sad, happy, angry or just want to whoop a motherfuckers ass. The only rappers I can think of off the top that a real raw with their emotions are DMX, Eminem and Tech N9ne. He had versatility and could rap about anything. He had something to say and there were times when he would go crazy on the mic and times when I knew to hold back and let the message sink in

In place of Just Like Daddy and Toss It Up, definitely would've been better.
