Not a rap legend/icon but def a West Coast legend. He wrote one of the Top 5 West Coast classics that's still relevant in hip-hop today. "I Got 5 On It" is the only track besides "Gangsta's Paradise" and "Regulate" that wasen't recorded at Death Row and still get's played at radio stations til this day..

Yuk's my fav Bay Area rapper - he just needs better beats for his sick lyrics and a bigger label that can push him back to the top, cause his 'radio friendly' and 'club' records with mainstream artists can take him there..

Co-sign, 'I Got 5 On It' was one of the last great classic singles from just at the end of the golden era of Hip-Hop, for that alone he is a legend

so I track makes you a legend? come on man ...

that's like a footballer throws well in one game but has an "alright" career and becomes a legend.

I Got 5 on It - classic track but it doesn't make the artist(s) a legend.

If the rest of his stuff was mad wack, then yeah, maybe he wouldn't be, but it's solid stuff, and that classic puts him into the legends category to me... though I accept you could argue it either way, he's on the line

I'd give him vet status but not legend. He has been good, but not a game changer in the likes of Pac, Cube, 40 and Dre (both Doc and Mac)
