At least that would make some sense, but it still makes the dude a sap. They could have just made it 6 months to a year before they got together and it wouldn't have been that big a deal. Dead husband, undead zombies, end of the world, nature takes it's course.

a lil bit of a slow episode that picked up at the end,
with regards to the cheating wife, from this episode it seems that they only started fucking post zombies, with the whole 'you told me he was dead' thing.
also, dude from boondock saints.
i'm expecting next weeks to be dope as fuck and very action packed.

**Mild Spoilers if you haven't watched the First 3 Episodes**

Yeah, Shane and Lori's short-lived relationship was post-zombies.  And they pretty much give the same reasoning in the comic as they did in the show.  Initially, Lori is talked into leaving town by Shane with the explanation that Rick and the other patients in the hospital will be evacuated immediately following them, and then later she believes that Rick never made it out of the hospital alive.
I thought this weeks episode was pretty good.  This and last week have been a pretty big divergence from the comic in that there was never any big group from the camp in Atlanta, and so there was never anyone left on the rooftop and never any real need to go back into the city.  I think it's made for a good story though.

Even if she thought he was dead and even if Shane was the great hero, I still don't buy her lack of mourning. I know they hinted that they had problems, her and Rick, but that's so fast to start screwing around with the best friend, unless something had already been going on. I think it would have been better if they hadn't done anything yet but she was falling in love with him and maybe just as she's ready to move on and be with Shane, Rick returns. But whatever, it's not a major point for me, or any kind of deal breaker for the show.

Yeah.  It's portrayed a bit more realistically in the comic.  The comic shows it more as a one time lapse of judgment on Lori's part that happens out of loneliness, and she regrets it even before she discovers Rick is still alive.  Whereas the show has her still carrying on with Shane right up until Rick gets back to camp.  While I really like the show, I wish they would have handled that part more like the comic.

Its completely plausible to me. Yeah it hasn't been that long but its the zombie apocalypse remember? The world is over as they know it. From my perspective, fucking would be one of the few joys left in life at that point.

Did any body read comics?
I did.
And I can imagine that they gonna kill one of the main characters soon.  :o
1-6 ep -  is it a full season?

So far, I've read issues 1-48 (which is what is contained in "The Walking Dead: Compendium 1").  If the comics are any indication, and I'm sure they will be, there will be a lot more death in the coming episodes.  Unfortunately, the first season was only 6 episodes long.  Season 2 starts next October, and will be 13 episodes long.

Was I the only person that thought the finale was terrible?

wasn't bad, but I thought it was the worst episode of the season. Kind of a let down cuz I was expecting it to be the best episode yet.

It was pretty weak compared to the rest of the season.  Also, it completely deviated from the storyline in the comic book.  The whole Center for Disease Control story was completely an invention of the t.v. series.  There have been other times where the show deviated from the comic that I didn't mind or occasionally even thought were slight improvements, but I thought that the CDC story kind of missed the mark.  I didn't really hate it, but it just seemed unnecessary.
