Yeah, this is just a rumour that's been floatin' forever, this site's just late picking it up.  They found an album cover hid on Daz's official site called "The Black Phantom" and it said "shady Records" on it, so that's the only thing poiting towards it.

About the Ice T thing, that's a typical case of changed plans in hiphop, lol.  Happens every week.  One of a couple things happened...


1. Ice T and Dre legit were gonna work, then dre got other things going, and it didn't happen.
2. Money wasn't right between the two labels
3. Dre was blowing smoke at Ice T and T misunderstood what he was saying Dre - "Man, If you ever need production, holla" - T - "You produce my record?" -Dre - "I could help, just holla"   then T tells everybody Dre's exec producin his next record

Stuff like that happens non stop, look at all the crap that never went down that people talked about.  It's all for one of those three reasons, I think.
