Peyton's getting on my nerves!
« on: December 05, 2010, 04:54:02 PM »
Just because he's closing in on the Favre starts record doesn't mean he has to start making throws like Favre to other team. I could excuse the other two games, expect for the last drive against NE where it was his fault. Yes he's still the best in the league because at 6-6 the second best QB in the league, whoever it is would be at best 3-9 right now. But he's really hurting his image if he walks out this year.

He knows he has no o-line. He knows his team can't run the ball. He knows his WRs are finesse and not guys that will fight for spots. So I think he should stop trying so hard to win and trying to make all these tight throws and start playing Brady ball. Dink and dunk into no gain, go 3 and out every time, and then leave this joke of a team with some respect for yourself. He should not be the guy that has to yell at players at practice. Or the guy that has to coach the WRs. This isn't the 1960s NBA and he's not Bill Russel. It's becoming clear to me that he's doing too much.

So it's time to go gang green and not be responsible for everything.

He should. Then he would be a champion & not "that guy" who always came close.

If that's a guaranteed winning formula, why not duplicate it? Unless your ego is in the way & you feel you can do more & come up two rings shorter.

If Colts could establish some sort of run game it'd be different but I've never seen an o-line that bad and creating holes mixed with RBs that bad at finding lanes. It's one thing for a front four to apply pressure but when you're letting the front 4 stop your run for an average of 79 yards a game and 50 yards a game in losses, you're simply not a team that should be competing at an NFL level. If I were Peyton I'd walk into Polian's office at the end of the season and say bulk up the fucking lines or I'm leaving.

Maybe they finally take Favre out behind the wood shed and put him outta his misery....leaving Manning to become a Viking. Im sure he would salivate at the idea of having AP in the backfield. Or how about the Titans? Manning throwing the ball to Moss and Britt with CJ in the backfield. Or maybe Dallas will finally scrap the Tony "Im the most overrated QB in the NFL without a hispanic last name and no Jets fans Im not talking about Jeff Garcia" Romo project.  ;)

He could go just about anywhere he wanted, save a few teams here and there. It'd be like auctioning off Britney Spears' virginity in 1997 to Japanese businessmen.

He'd really excel with that offense. McFadden and Bush would really take the edge off and Miller is a great TE. He'd make Bey and Murphy look like Harrison and Wayne by year 2.

And I just realized who I hate as much as Brady. Kanye West! Both for the same reasons. Neither shut up and think they're so good and the stupid world agrees with them.

^Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So you're the type who lets things irrelevant things like "attitude" & the "public's opinion" get in the way of your opinion.

Now I don't know your musical taste, but if you're a fan of Hip Hop, you have to admit all of Kanye's Hip Hop albums have been extremely good.

But he has that attitude & ego so that affects your opinion on his music.

Now it makes sense.

No, Noo, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Okay, I grew up entrenched in hip hop and I bought and listened to College Dropout well before I knew anything about Kanye's attitude. Everyone was praising it and I was in a religious phase and I really thought I would take to Jesus Walks and more mature rap but all I heard was garbage, second rate, mediocre hip hop. Simple sampling with weak flows and nursery rhyming. This was a bad album that only looked good because everyone else was releasing even worse shit. He can't rap. His production is soft and over-glossed and his content is ruined by silly words. At your age I don't expect you to get any of this. When I first heard Dogg Food as a teenager I thought it was the funniest shit I ever heard on some of those sex songs, but if that album was released today instead of then I wouldn't care much at all for the humor.

Anyway, so after the first album complete wasted my time and money, and I tried to like it, I just heard more of the same from his following albums. It had nothing to do with the praise he was getting. At least with Brady I liked him and really pulled for him in 01 because he was this unknown getting no respect for managing that team well. I just knew he wasn't Dan Marino. When every started jumping on him as this QB God which I'm certain has as much to do with his public persona as it does his talent I started to get upset. Joe Namath was mediocre and he got into the hall of fame with his looks and public image. So Brady being pretty good gets to be called among the best ever because of the same thing. But Kanye just doesn't have any true musical talent. Put an instrument in his hands and tell him to create music by playing it. He can't do it. And he can't rap all that well either.

I agree. The running game would help keep pressure off of him. Plus he has a quick release anyways. And I can only imagine what having a QB like him back there behind center would do for the running game. Miller is very good, Jacoby Ford would turn into a Pierre Garcon type. Not sure what to think of Bey yet, but I do like Murphy. He is a better route runner. None of this matters though because he wont be in Oakland.

And Kanye is a dummy. But he did contribute to one of the funniest moments in TV history with the "George Bush doesnt care about Black people" line lol. Thats funny even to this day. Mike Meyers with the "OH SHIT" look on his face lol

I forgot about Ford. He'd probably end up being the 2 WR behind Murphy. But Miller may end up with more catches. Same for McFadden. And Bush is the kind of power back every team needs for 3rd downs and playing with the lead. And Cable is the kind of coach that means Peyton won't have to yell at his o-line or anyone else. Because that dude Cable will be there first. Peyton may have to humble himself a bit too though. But, yeah, it's not gonna happen. But we both know the Raiders would own the division and homefield from now until Peyt retired if it did happen.

LOL, what? Nobody overrates Sanchez. You can say the Jets are overrated, but not even Jets fans say Sanchez is "great".

We're well aware our run game, defense & offensive line is what we're built on. Sanchez is basically just told to not turn the ball over.

I remember talking to Luna about VY & Sanchez & specifically saying, neither is in the Top 20.

Romo is overrated because up until last year, he was in the same discussions as Peyton, Brady, Brees & Big Ben.

Romo is overrated because up until last year, he was in the same discussions as Peyton, Brady, Brees & Big Ben.

Brady never would have lasted in Dallas. The other three would have been fine. They don't have the run or the screen game. He would have done as well as Bledsoe did. Brees and especially Ben can make plays with their legs, and that's what won Romo the job. Bledsoe was getting killed out there with not enough time for routes to develop. Same withing would have happened to Brady. Peyton's used to making tighter throws in 2 seconds he would have been fine.

That being said I'm not saying Romo would have 3 SBs on NE. Maybe his nerves would have gotten to him and a couple bad mistakes would have killed him. But maybe he'll end up with McDaniels next year and they win a SB. All I'm saying is Brady on Dallas would have not worked and wouldn't work now. Williams wouldn't take his shit. Austen would get sick of him. Owens would have punched him the face if he ragged on him like he does some of the guys on NE. Brady and Witten probably would have been a great pair. But Brady comes off as naggy and whiny. It's not like Kitna who may very well fist fight you in the back. Brady's never taken or thrown a punch in his life I bet.
