Bishop Lamont and Diocese Entertainment Holiday Update

Holiness is in the air this season as Bishop Lamont and his Diocese Entertainment are gearing up to offer fans plenty of gifts up into Christmas, through the New Year, and beyond!

First up will be the very talked-about official music video release of Sadatay! The song is from Bishop’s highly acclaimed album, The Shawshank Redemption/Angola 3, which hit the streets on Nov. 1st of this year. Look for that video to premier this week on AftermathMusic.com.

There will be more videos from ‘Shawshank’ with plans to release Home around the holidays with I.W.P, Affirmative Action, Off the Liquor and We in Here following throughout the New Year and first quarter of 2011!

The satirical concept album, Team America: Fuck Yeah!, that Bishop released last year with Indef will be on sale in an UNTAGGED/REMASTERED Special Edition this coming January! Team America: Fuck Yeah! will also be accompanied by the official music video from the hit record Kim Jung Ill followed by hit records I Like Bombs, B.O.B (Barack Over Bad-guys), and others! Just like recent real-life events, expect the official video for Kim Jung Ill to set things off this holiday season.

Bishop Lamont is also back in the studio working full-swing on his official debut LP, The Reformation (God Damn Ni9ga, It’s About Fu*kin’ Time!)! The top-secret project, The Unified Field Theory/Project X, has been confirmed to follow The Reformation. This particular project is said to contain production and vocal talents from artists all over the world.

And if all that wasn’t enough for us hungry fans, Bishop is also putting in work on a project with the Boyle Heights Youth Center! This album will be created and recorded with the talented youth of that center whom have established the group name The Congregation. ALL proceeds will go towards the center and its music program.

There will also be much touring, both domestically and internationally, from Bishop; as well as TV and feature film projects!

Hold up! Is that all that’s coming from Bishop Lamont? NO! Bishop’s Diocese Entertainment will also be launching the new Streetdrop.com (formally known to fans worldwide as the successful Letmehearitmusic.com) which will give eager fans a chance to submit their music to Bishop and possibly have it heard by everyone around the globe! Oh yeah… don’t forget about CalTroit: Metropolis with Black Milk ;)

There will be many more details and updates on these projects, as well as others, coming to you very soon, so be sure to stay posted on AftermathMusic.com for the latest info!

So, on behalf of all fans of real Hip Hop and real music in general, we would like to say “Thank you, Bishop/Diocese” and “Happy Holidays!”

If you haven’t downloaded The Shawshank Redemption/Angola 3 which features contributions from Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Focus, King Karnov, Lord Finesse, Kurupt, RBX and more; you can do so at www.AftermathMusic.com.

Dopeness.  The community youth project is sweet and different just like the Unified Field Theory/Project X seems promising.  I just hope the mixing will be superior than his most recent release.

edit:

Can you confirm if Bishop was the first person to refer to Dr.Dre's recording studios as Area 51?

Cool breeze; I'm hopping out of new Beams
My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter
I'm a vision of the future climbing the success ladder
Recline, in the mean time, twenty three shine, diamond bling blind as I rewind

I don't think Area 51 that Bishop referred to was Dre's studio, I remember going to the studios in Burbank that Damizza and Bishop used to record at and Butch Cassidy etc and they referred to that studio as Area 51..

couldn't he just had dropped the Instrumental version of "Team America".  I'm a fan of Bishop but I'm sorry, that was one of those ideas that went wrong.

^^^ Dunno I never got into the voices and shit on Team America. Definitely looking forward to I'm Faded in CDQ though, as long as it's the OG version...

Also is there going to be hard copies / mixed and mastered copies of Angola 3? Some of Bishops best work on there, and would love a 2nd Bishop album to add to the collection
