I liked the direction on MM4 so this feels like a step backwards
Cool breeze; I'm hopping out of new Beams
My outfit ran me a few G's but none of that will matter if you leave
I used to be an Adam with two Eves and shawtys automatically do me
Excuse me, all that happened before you doesn't matter
I'm a vision of the future climbing the success ladder
Recline, in the mean time, twenty three shine, diamond bling blind as I rewind

Dope ass song. Excited to hear the other parts of this.

Like Action said, compared to MM4, it's not on the same level, so it's just "good", not "great".

If you're a fan of most of Budden's music, you gotta love that album lol.

If mood muzik 4 isn't hip-hop then what the hell is?

If mood muzik 4 isn't hip-hop then what the hell is?

Something that doesn't get as much attention, that isn't talked about as much, that's real underground.

If you fit those requirements, people on Dubcc are your biggest fans lol.

I don't know exactly who you listen to, but you come across as somebody who is fond of underground artists. I understand that Joe Budden doesn't get the same amount of attention as mainstream artists, but do you & most people understand that he gets more attention than most people you all listen to? lol.

I always see that on this forum lol. Like it's used as an excuse to say something negative about his music, "nobody knows/listens to Joe Budden"; but he's clearly bigger than any underground artist.

It goes (in terms of attention):
1. Mainstream (many, many names)
2. Joe Budden (& Slaughterhouse)
3. Underground

Anyway, the point of what I was saying is that he gets enough attention for people to dislike him. I always said that if he didn't have so much support from his fans on the internet & the Wu-beef never happened & on camera he was a humble guy who never talked shit & had the popularity of Roc Marciano or somebody like that, everybody would at least give him a much greater chance.

You must be joking me. Are you seriously making up a category of hip hop exclusively for Joe Budden and Slaughterhouse?  :D

Sorry but that's retarded. I understand he has more fans than Roc Marciano. But he isn't any more popular than MF Doom or Immortal Technique.

^There are other people in that league. They just happen to be four rappers with pretty large internet following. Tech N9ne is in that group, along with Immortal.

But MF Doom is easily a step below them in terms of getting attention.

MF Doom is quite popular for an underground artist but Immortal Technique is not as popular as Slaughterhouse whose album I can find in a library unlike Technique's

Actually if I had to guess I'd say MF Doom has a bigger fanbase. And Tech N9ne is considerably bigger than both of them. By your logic shouldn't he have his own category?

Either way I didn't see you complaining about unfair response to the Tech N9ne or Brotha Lynch Hung albums. Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe people just dislike Budden?

^It's crossed my mind until I hear the music; then I realize it's beyond music.

Remember how everybody was kind of feeling Lil' Wayne until he was self-proclaimed himself as the "greatest".

Game was HIGHLY popular, ran his mouth way to many times, everybody just shitted on his music.

Same thing, people just will obviously never admit it because it looks bad for you opinion if you openly say, "Well I just hate him as a person & the following he gets".

BTW, I purposely used the term "attention", not "fan base" because Joe Budden gets way more attention than Tech N9ne & "considerably more" than MF Doom, it's just majority negative attention. You can say whatever you want, but Tech N9ne is rarely talked about except when he drops an album or somebody makes one of those "Whose a great rapper?" thread; could it be because he isn't behind a webcam? I wonder.

Yet I still put Tech in that same league & Immortal because they are well known enough by the average listener of Hip Hop, even if they aren't familiar with all their work.
