Let's just say..

The Jets beat the Steelers this weekend & then go on to beat the Packers in the Super Bowl.

Colts
Pats
Steelers
Packers

All on the road.

Would that be, by far, the most impressive Super Bowl run ever?

Please don't even mention the Colts. The other three teams would still have a chance at beating the Jets if their QB was Mark Sanchez. The Colts with Sanchez couldn't beat the Bad News Bears. But it does look good on paper for the Jets D to win games against those 4 QBs in a row.

lmfao, what does that mean?

Bottom line, we would be beating the three best teams in the last decade & the Packers, who could be the second best overall team in the league, despite their regular season record.

Not to even get into how I had to listen to how we were "overrated" all season.

This is a team sport, this isn't flip-flop QBs in your imagination & play it out.

& most importantly please don't NOT mention the Colts. Go back to the "Wildcard Round" thread & you, along with everyone else had the Colts winning. So don't front like they weren't favorites in that game & we still won.

Yeah, yeah, talk about how someone dropped a pass that he had to dive for & how the special teams sucks; this isn't about Peyton, it's about winning games we're expected to lose.

I said all week that the Colts/Jets game was up in the air. I never called the Jets to lose or the underdog. I said that "if" the Colts could make you respect the run then Manning would eat you up. Three 3rd and 1s unconverted means there was no respect for the run. In fact they respected the pass so much that the only decent runs came on 3rd and long. And, another if but a realistic one, if you idiots just ran the ball from the start you would've eaten the Colts alive. Instead you let that clown Sanchez throw the ball all first half. The Jets are about as good as NE and outplayed them. They're about as good as Pitt and need to outplay them to win. They're a way better team than the 2010 Colts.

^"Way better team" yet you didn't have them winning the game along with everyone else on this forum? Any game you win when you're not suppose to is a great win.

Then the Pats game was a game that was supposedly going to be a repeat of the regular season & we were going to lose by 20+.

We're still underdogs & expected to lose this week & if we played the Packers in the SB, we'd still be underdogs barring major injury to Rodgers.

Anyway, I ask "would it be the most impressive run to a SB ever?". Is there a more impressive one already out there?

Steelers did the same thing in Super Bowl XL.

Steelers did not face Brady

the Giants won 3 games on the road and then beat Brady in 2007-08

My point is, by itself, winning all your games on the road isn't enough to be considered "by far, the most impressive Super Bowl run ever?" It's been done before. So other factors need to be considered.

I didn't have them losing the game either. With Peyton Manning you always have a puncher's chance and in Indy it's even more likely. On a toss up I picked Indy, but that doesn't mean I expected them to win or thought they would. Every week during the season on the lottery pool I pick Indy and Buffalo to win and New England to lose. This is for gambling purposes, not for insight purposes.

And as for most impressive runs, I'd say the 07 Giants winning on the road the whole way in Dallas and in OT at Green Bay, then taking out the perfect season. Tampa may not be as prestigious as winning in Indy but taking out the 07 Pats and beating Favre in the snow makes up for it. The 01 Pats had a super run too. Beat the power house Raiders, lost their starting 1st season starting QB in Pit and still won, then took out the Greatest Show on Turf.

If the Jets beat Pit, which they already have, then no one will be surprised at all by a win against GB or CHI. The Pats and the Giants were huge underdogs in the SBs they won. The Jet's won't be more than a 3.5 spread, if that.

@Ted - I don't mean JUST because it was all on the road, that's just additional "wow"; it's the teams they beat. In the last ten years the three best teams in the NFL have been the Pats, Colts & Steelers.

@Hack & Shallow - One of you is saying the '07 Giants because you're a big Giants fan & the other one is saying them because them beating the undefeated Patriots will go down as a greater day than your wedding & birth of children. That road in the NFC wasn't terrible at all. The Bucs? Right there the Jets road is better. The Cowboys then might beat the 2010 Colts, but not the Pats, Steelers or Packers & this years Packers team is better then it was then.

The only real "wow, that's amazing" win was the win against the Pats.

But the 01 Pats was pretty awesome.

if that happens it would be a really impressive run

Good wording. It is a big "if". I'm just being optimistic after hearing we had "no chance".

Eaaaasyyy now.

The colts aren't the Colts of a few years ago.

The Pats aren't the Pats of a few years ago.

Granted, both teams are GOOD teams (with the Pats being better at this point), and these were good wins no doubt and no credit taken away from your boys here.

Greatest Super Bowl run ever, maybe pushin it.  I can't really think of something off the top of my head, I'd have to look into it.

Dont count them chickens before they hatch,  ;D.  As a Cowboys fan, I admit I bought into ESPN and the media's hype for my team and did that, and lemme tell u, its way more disappointing that way when it doesnt work out.
Money like Draymond Green.....yuuup
