Dj Quik - Balance & Options (appreciation thread)

this west coast masterpiece is a must have for any fan of REAL rap. quik wrote his absolute best verses on this album and the production was top notch from top to bottom. this is an album that's been in my cd rotation since it came out.

good album. but it's hard to come right after Rhythm-Al-Ism. I'll say this though. This album contains the absolute best rap outro that was ever done, but it's too damn short.

I dont want to party with you, is one of Quik's best tracks. Straight classic beat and rhyme. One of my favorite Quik albums!

Real spit in this CD..Until Mausberg got killed..Quik went stupid..He went on some, "I'm gonna kill you" through a CD type shit..

the divorce song is the best on tha album...it shows that dj quik is not onyl a producer, he is a musician... and james debarge... no need to comment about his performance...

Like somebody else said, this will remain forever as one of the most well made albums. Quiks music on this is ridiculous.

I still can't help but think that this could have been better. Cut out "some" of the skits, and fillers, and possibly replaced them with another song, and a longer outro. Nonetheless, this was still a great album

That's how great this album is.  All those worthless skits, take all those off, it would be perfect.
