Snoop (Doggy) Dogg vs. Eminem

That's easy for me. I got much love for Em as a rapper, he is a powerful rapper indeed, and got more fans and stuff than Snoop, but Snoop was at his top almost a decade ago, don't forget that. He gave rap a name(among others), put the LB on the map, and have been a mayor player on the two best rap albums ever, no matter how much other record sells; The Chronic & Doggystyle


I love Snoop for what he did in the early 90's, his charisma, charm, and humour is untouchable. He's a legend. 'Nuff said.


But much respect to EM though, don't get me wrong.

Longevity - Snoop...obviously
Consistency - Eminem
Voice - Snoop
Flow - Tie...At the beginning of their careers Snoop has it for sure but now no question Em's flow now is insane
Delivery - Not sure...Snoop's delivery during The Chronic and Doggystyle was great but he came with less energy on Tha Doggfather and hit a low on his No Limit debut.  It's difficult to judge this.
Lyrically [complexity (vocab, rhymes patterns, multis)] - Eminem
Catalogue - Eminem...Snoop has more albums for sure but Em has 3 albums all are at least dope, none are shitty while Snoop has a hip-hop classic which Em doesn't but some of his albums are questionable.  Close, probably should be included with consistency.
Impact - Eminem
Working/Rhyming with others - Snoop...Eastsidaz, The Chronic, etc
Freestyling - Can't really say...Haven't heard Snoop free too much
Battling - Eminem...Snoop can throw the disses around nice too ("Dre Day", "Pimp Slapped", etc) but Em takes this.

Come on people, I know Snoop probably dropped 1 classic album, but Eminem don't have one yet to his name. He ain't never going to. I can't name a rapper that has a better debut album than Snoop. Actually I don't even know a rapper that has a better album period. You know something funny, Em is older than Snoop by a couple of months and Snoop has been in the game way longer than his ass. i totally agree man! eminem is and never will be better than snoop was. Snoops career will always be better then eminems career.

LOL Snoop prolly had the most impact on rap of the last 10 years then any other rapper man besides maybe dre, if it wasn't for snoop and dre the west would not have been NEAR as big as it got. and eminem hasn't done nethin that has impacted the game as much as the chronic and doggystyle have.
