Seriously is anyone else tired of these talented new artst coming out and getting our hopes up only to eventually fade away and never be heard from again?

Daz's albums may not always be the best quality (won't even get into the disaster that was gangsta crunk) but if you look at his track record, he's released an album EVERY year since RR&GB

We literally need to put daz in the front of a classroom and have him give a lecture to crooked I, techniec, g.malone, nipsey hussle, jay rock, mr short khop, conway, iv life's too cool and young buc, e-white, phatts bossi, hell even dr dre lol. Teach these dudes how to go the independent route and actually release shit!

All those artists you mentioned could put out albums if they wanted to. The difference is Daz isn't worried about blowing up. He knows his time in the spotlight is long gone and he's only putting out music for his remaining fanbase. These artists have delusions that a west coast rapper can sign to a major and blow up with a hot single. The albums will start coming out once they put that dream aside.

i dont get why these west rappers want a major deal (mainly crooked i) when they know the industry will water down your music and end up having you gauge your eye out like Houston.. go independent and you can possibly make more than you would being on a major label

^ I agree too. Crooked I could be on the level of tech n9ne if he actually released all 8 of those vaulted albums.

Yeah. I think Tech is the example of a good blueprint for an indy artist in today's market. He's someone who is a veteran who worked his ass off for years and is just now, starting to really get embraced by the mainstream. He has his own movement and I think other artists need to take notes. The guy can basically draw a live crowd in any region of the country without having to wait on a major to get his video on MTV or song played at Hot 97.

the thing is, i read in several crook interviews, that crook still aims at releasing the highly anticipated type album that untouchable/say hi to the bad guy was supposed to be. he is up on the independent game, between his contract with virgin and death row, he was selling verses all through the midwest/southwest and said that Suge could have released his album with Kosh and be a cost-effective venture. but Suge had bigger plans for Crook and i think Crook still has these bigger plans, now that he has widened his audience and gets praise for his raps.

"I was discouraged after the Virgin Records deal blew up but one thing I’ve trained myself to do is to always turn a negative situation in to a positive one. Another thing that I’ve trained myself to believe is that I cannot fail – no matter what. I went back to being independent and I made so much money. I was making more on the independent scene than when I was getting paid from the major label. "

the nigga talks about being in the independent game but has never even released an independent album. Face it, the nigga is a whore for the mainstream. He'd sell his soul to hit the top 40.

BIGWORM

Yeah that's why I like artists like Daz & Spice-1 they seem to release albums to their fans on the regular.

Big Up's DAZ I hope you release that digital scale album without the scale because I can't have that being delivered to my house because of the scale...

Lunatic

Daz is a business genius who knows the music industry inside out. Seriously. His set up is basically flawless.
