I don't understand the concept of "loyal" fans. Do you listen because you like the music or because you're loyal to the artist? If it's the former, you're not loyal and if the latter then it shouldn't matter about the quality of the music. I think some of you have loyalty confused with entitlement. Quik and them make music for the audience they think will buy their records. Dre does the same. People need to let go out of this "We bought The Chronic 20 years ago so Dre owed us to do this" shit.

Maybe "loyal" wasn't the best choice of words. But I mean, Dre isn't one of those people whose making music for a select group of fans who want to hear a certain thing. Dre is trying to put up Eminem numbers, not Quik numbers. Quik knows even if he puts out the greatest album ever, he won't sell more than 20,000 copies. So he just makes the best music he can out of his sound, doesn't switch it up. Dre could give a fuck less what people who "bought the Chronic 20 years ago" want. He's just trying to sell what everone wants.
