Long Awaited "Knoc's Ville" Album Gets May 2011 Release - By : Rud - April 19, 2011

It was 2009 when we first told you about the expected release of "Knoc's Ville" - the latest album from Knoc-Turn'Al. Since then we have not been short of new music from Knoc, most notably the 01.11.11 Mixtape in late 2010.

The "Knoc's Ville" release has suffered delays its initial announcement but today we have news that May is the month that Treacherous Records/Hoopla Media Group/LRT Entertainment will at long last drop the eagerly awaited LP in digital format. According to sources the reason for the digital only release is "to ensure that the even longer awaited "Book Of Knoc" LP can be released this year."

Earlier this year we gave you the expected single from the album, If U Wanna featuring K-Young however the tracklist below does not include this record so expect this to be a leftover or bonus record.

The tracklist, shown below, is similar to the one we gave you in June 2009 and features a host of artists from Treacherous Records and associated labels including One-2, Jaguar, Crooked I, Jayo Felony, Yukmouth and Sly Boogy amongst others.

Production on the release is handled by the usual suspects of J-Beam, Blaqthoven and of course Komplex.

01) Knoc's Ville (Feat. One-2) (Produced by J-Beam)
02) Where Have You Been (Produced by MG)
03) Amen (Produced by 51-50)
04) Mind Yourself (Prod. Komplex) (Scratches: DJ Wizard)
05) Half Way Loved You (Feat. Knawledg) (Produced by Deztined AKA Dez)
06) Theme Music (Produced by Blaqthoven)
07) Gangsta Lean (Produced by DJ AK)
08) Sorry I Left You (Produced by Komplex)
09) Drop That Lame (Feat. Jaguar) (Produced by Komplex)
10) I've Been Here For Years (Feat. Crooked I & James Elizabeth) (Produced by Big Hollis)
11) OOOOO-WEEEEE (Produced by Komplex)
12) Can We Do Our Thing (Produced by Komplex)
13) Let Go (Additional Vocals: Jaguar) (Produced byMG)
14) I'm Sorry I Left You (Remix) (Feat. Jayo Felony, Yukmouth & Sly Boogy) (Produced by Komplex)
15) I'm Back (Feat. One-2) (Produced by Komplex)

Over the coming weeks we will promote the release with multiple non-album leaks as well as the video for I've Been Here For Years with Crooked I & James Elizabeth. Stay tuned and also be aware that the first music video for "Book Of Knoc" is set to be shot this week in Long Beach, California so stay tuned to Knoc-turn'Al on Twitter for more news around that.

I know some of y'all may be disappointed it's digital only but this was the best way

1) to get it out asap
2) to make sure "book of knoc" can drop asap as well

We have a major distribution deal. With the scheduling of everything, it didn't make sense to keep waiting when we can just do "Book of Knoc" with that major deal later. The timing will be more right for that project, then to wait on there scheduling to do "Knoc's Ville"

Digital only = Record Company is certain that the album will sell less than the cost of physical production.  Real talk no matter what anyone else says.

Gutted there is no hard copies. Probably wont bother to get it for that reason

Wrong. Do you know how cheap physical production is? You can get 1,000 copies for less than $1,000. So it would take far less than 1,000 copies sold to see match or beat cost of physical production.

Record labels get killed on marketing $$$ (when they don't see a profit return). That wasn't gonna' be an issue.
