The negatives: Lamar IS the Lakers bench. He is inconsistent, but the rest of the bench is ass. And he isnt any more inconsisten than Arenas. And speakin of Arenas, holy shit. That contract is fuckin RIDICULOUS. That might be what holds up this trade. Im sure no one in the NBA wants to take on that contract, for what they are gonna get.

He's the 2nd most overpaid player in the league I guess, and his contract is hard to stomach. Still, he's better than trash and I'm sure Cuban doesn't give a fuck if he can get the best center since Shaq in the process.

That said, this trade would obviously be good for the Lakers. I don't even want to explain why or how, because I'm sure of it and so should most people.
What's very funny though is this: On the one hand you had Kobe, a broken body but the most focused, most willed player in the game. On the other hand you have Howard, the best body in the game, yet someone who likes to fool around all the time, eating burgers before games in the locker room, chatting with random people courtside while the game is on, stuff like this. It would be funny how Kobe deals with the physical phenomenon that Howard is, when he sees him having 0 focus. Just saying.

Next, in all honesty ...and I'm not just saying this because I'd hate for this trade to happen... for the Magic it would not make sense. After trading Howard, they'd have 0% chances of winning a championship. So the best they could do is winning around 50 games and that's it - you don't need Gasol's big contract for this. You really don't. You'd rather save money and build for the future.

LOL...so they're better off losing Dwight for nothing than getting Gasol, Odom, AND rid of Arenas contract? you are retarded.

No, they are better off trying to appease him or trading him and Arenas and maybe even Hedo for something else in return, like expiring contracts and lesser paid players. Lol @ your ignorant self-absorbed ass drawing random conclusions because the only option you see is a trade with Lakers, like they are the only team in the league. Stop sniffing.

oh, so they should trade Dwight for expiring contracts LMAO....but when the Grizzlies did that with Gasol, it was "robbery by the Lakers" and "the worst trade in NBA history"....are all Germans this dumb when it comes to basketball? Really, if the Magic can get Odom AND Gasol while getting rid of Arenas' contract, I'm pretty sure they'll be more than happy to do it. Surely, even an idiot like u knows that Lakers make the biggest moves in NBA history, so it makes sense to discuss our next potential big move....not the ONLY option, but clearly the most probable one.

Not just expiring contracts, if they'd do that they could just let his contract run out. But they definitely have to reason before taking on Gasol's big contract who gives them not all that much as a player. You're the first one crying when niggas call you names for being Jewish, yet you do racial slurs all the time. Faggot ass hypocrite. Just face what a horrible person you are: You insult people because they argue that Gasol for Howard might not be the best the Magic could do. Seriously? You have a terrible personality, just being real with you. Someone ought to beat the shit out of your parents for raising such a spoiled, hypocritical, self-absorbed and ill-mannered tool.

NIK talks so much shit on here to compensate for the fact that he's a spoiled rich kid pussy on real life. Everyone knows it. It's obvious. Even his friends have said he's nothing like this in person lol

I'm not sure about this trade. A few things

The positives: Defensively the Lakers will be very good in the paint. They will be very good on the boards. That will help big time in the playoffs. Also, Howard will sell jerseys. lol

The problem I see tho, is that it will force the Lakers to settle for even more outside jumpers without Gasol. The thing is, Bynum is like a poor mans Dwight Howard. You dont really wanna have two guys out there who cant hit a 10-15 foot jumper. True, they will clog the lane on defense, but they will also clog it on offense. No opposing big is gonna follow Dwight or Bynum 15 feet away from the rim, they will just stay in the driving lanes and deny penetration. If there is any kind of kick out to one of those two, who gives a fuck. If I was the Lakers, and wanted Howard, I would try to find a way to move Bynum instead. Unless they are planning to have him come off the bench, which I doubt his attitude could handle.

LOL...u cant be serious. Bynum is a poor man's Dwight? dude, do u even watch basketball? Dwight and Bynum are nothing alike. Dwight relies on athleticism to score most his points, while Bynum pounds u down low and has a great back-to-the-basket game with an arsenal of various post moves. Two completely different types of players. If Arenas moves to the starting line-up, Fisher moves to the bench...that'll give us some much needed sharp-shooting comin' off the bench, and I expect a lot more from Blake and Barnes next year, as well. BTW, Bynum CAN hit the 10-15 foot jumper...another reason I don't think u've watched him play that much. As far as moving Bynum, FUCK THAT...Twin-towers=the way to go.

You would argue no matter what I said. And lol@ "arsenal of various post moves". LOL!! Yeah...there was Mchale...Hakeem...Duncan...and Bynum. All guys with an "arsenal of post moves" lol. You are fuckin comedy man. And yes, Bynum is like a poor mans Howard. They are both bigs who's primary contribution will be on defense and rebounds. Offensively, fuckin 99% of their points are coming in the lane a foot from the basket. And yeah, youre right....Bynum is a deadly shooter lol. Its better to have one big man who is the defensive stopper, rebounder, back to the basket guy (howard), and one big who can face up more, take someone off the dribble, or maybe even hit the jumper. With Bynum and Howard you wont have that second guy. True, Gasol is soft as fuck. But he is still more skilled than Bynum by far, and would fit better with Dwight. Bynum is just Bynum...he's dispensable, injury prone, and a fuckin bitch. Trade his ass.

Bynum is a back-to-the-basket scorer, if u deny this, ur a dumbfuck. Never said he was on the level of Hakeem, but that's completely irrelevant. Fact of the matter is, Bynum CAN face up and shoot, as he has a good stroke for a 7 footer, and even if he couldn't shoot, we don't need our bigs shooting jump-shots anyways. Really, though, Bynum is just as good on offense as he is on defense, he is not primarily a defender like ur tryna make it seem...Bynum and Dwight would be deadly down low, trust me. Bynum is not dispensable LOL. He is a top 3 center in the league, a 23 year old 7 foot 300 pound force who could easily be a 20-12 guy if an offense ran through him...suck a dick, dumbass.

Are you fuckin retarded? lol. My point was that Bynum IS a back to the basket guy. I was just laughing at your suggestion that he has an "arsenal" of post moves. And having him AND Howard down low is going to clog the lane so bad on offense. Unless you guys completely restructure your team and trade for a.bunch of sharpshooters, its going to cause problems on offense.  But who knows, maybe Kobe gets lucky and can be Robin again on another championship team

teecee

I agree with DaYg0sTyLz:    Having Bynum and Howard wouldn't work all that well as both PRIMARILY operate close to the basket, as that is where they are both most effective.  They don't get their buckets the same way as D12 is more power and athleticism, and Bynum more footwork, but they are still in the same place.

Besides, it's clear Bynum wants more shots, and its also clear Kobe is not willing to shoot less

Exactly. On defense it could work having a twin towers kinda thing goin on to stop dribble penetration. Especially with what smaller, quick PG's tend to do to the Lakers. But offensively, having those two on the floor will only bring MORE traffic into the lane and cause more jump shots from a Lakers team that already settles for too many. Again, unless they are gonna completely restructure their team and bring in a bunch of shooters...it wouldnt make sense. Not to mention, this set up would work better if the offense was being run THROUGH the big men....I doubt Kobe's ego is going to allow him to be more of a team player and defer to the better offensive option.

Sccit

You'd cry because you'd only see Kobe fail more & never get another ring opposed to him clinging on to Dwight dominating games for him & opening up room for him to shoot lol.

So since you're more Kobe > Lakers (than team > player), you're in a lose-lose cry situation. Either see them never win again with Kobe or watch Kobe become the 2nd fiddle; something Jordan never was.

Actually, if Kobe was with another team, I would not support him or be a fan of his...would I respect him as a tremendous athlete and the greatest player of this generation? yes...but with me, it's always Lakers first and foremost...and yea, Jordan was a second option with the Wizards. LOL

either way, it is not even close to being time for Kobe to be a second option...he is still the best player in the world (despite being battered and bruised all season long) and could have possibly been the leader of another championship team this year had Gasol not played like a faggot.

Pau Gasol doesn't give them all that much as a player? LOL...and Lamar Odom doesn't either, huh? just a buncha' scrubs.....when did I say Gasol straight up for Howard? I said Gasol AND Odom for Howard AND Arenas awful contract...and the fact that u are acting like it's not such a good deal for Orlando is a mockery. This is basketball discussion, u fucking faggot...quit getting all sensitive and takin it to some other shit when u have nothing to say. I told u before, I give Kobe a ton of credit for the last two titles. The first three, were obviously Shaq's. And remember, Kobe wasnt able to lead shit to a title...until the Spurs finally slowed down (if you wanna call it that, since we still stay one of the best teams in the league), and gave him a chance.  8)

But who knows, maybe Kobe gets lucky and can be Robin again on another championship team

only a dumbass like urself disrespects a player who just came off of leading his team to a back-to-back championship...But i guess when your team hasn't even repeated ONCE, it makes it kinda fun to talk shit about the players/team who typically do.

Lakers of this decade >>>>> Spurs of this decade......get over it.

teecee

NIK you know as well as the rest of us do that Kobe shooting 43 % and putting up 22ppg, and 3 or 4 boards and assists was not gonna get the lakers a title even of gasol played better

.:DaYg0sTyLz:.

I'm not sure about this trade. A few things

This season was the first year of this decade. You guys went one round further in the playoffs (played the Hornets..), we won 61 games and were the better team during the regular season. Pretty much a wash Id say.

losing in 2nd round to team with identical record>>>losing in 1st round to 8th seed

"ur not a good person" LMAO...I just believe that a lot of the points u make are fuckin retarded as fuck, and I like to throw jabs at u cuz u get all butthurt...dont be that easy.

I perfectly explained everything in my perfectly fine first post in this thread... that you dismissed by acting like I'm retarded and like the Lakers are the only team in the league that Orlando can make a deal with.
Like I said before, Orlando has no chance of being a contender after trading Howard, no matter what they get in return. With that said, there is no need for a team that should care about money to pay a player like Gasol all that money for years to come. They should rather focus on reducing payroll and getting young players to re-build with, while trying to stay competitive enough to still make the playoffs in the east, ie winning about 45-50 games. I know exactly what you said but I'm not gonna repeat all that shit and say Gasol for Howard for convenience, dumbshit. <- That's how one should talk according to you, right? Either way there was absolutely nothing wrong with my first post, yet you acted like the bitch that you are. And I don't get butthurt, I'm just annoyed with having childish disputes with immature, terrible people like you, when I all I wanna do is having a civilized and honest discussion about basketball. All I'm saying is that you're a bad person and should improve, not dwell on it and even be proud of it. That's all. I know that might sound gay to you or something, because of the immature, whack raps recording at 25 homer that you are, but still, it's the truth.
