I'm not sure about this trade. A few things

The negatives: Lamar IS the Lakers bench. He is inconsistent, but the rest of the bench is ass. And he isnt any more inconsisten than Arenas. And speakin of Arenas, holy shit. That contract is fuckin RIDICULOUS. That might be what holds up this trade. Im sure no one in the NBA wants to take on that contract, for what they are gonna get.

The positives: Defensively the Lakers will be very good in the paint. They will be very good on the boards. That will help big time in the playoffs. Also, Howard will sell jerseys. lol

The problem I see tho, is that it will force the Lakers to settle for even more outside jumpers without Gasol. The thing is, Bynum is like a poor mans Dwight Howard. You dont really wanna have two guys out there who cant hit a 10-15 foot jumper. True, they will clog the lane on defense, but they will also clog it on offense. No opposing big is gonna follow Dwight or Bynum 15 feet away from the rim, they will just stay in the driving lanes and deny penetration. If there is any kind of kick out to one of those two, who gives a fuck. If I was the Lakers, and wanted Howard, I would try to find a way to move Bynum instead. Unless they are planning to have him come off the bench, which I doubt his attitude could handle.

Dwight relies on athleticism to score most his points, while Bynum pounds u down low and has a great back-to-the-basket game with an arsenal of various post moves. If Arenas moves to the starting line-up, Fisher moves to the bench...that'll give us some much needed sharp-shooting comin' off the bench, and I expect a lot more from Blake and Barnes next year, as well. Bynum is a back-to-the-basket scorer, if u deny this, ur a dumbfuck. Never said he was on the level of Hakeem, but that's completely irrelevant. Fact of the matter is, Bynum CAN face up and shoot, as he has a good stroke for a 7 footer, and even if he couldn't shoot, we don't need our bigs shooting jump-shots anyways.
