Would You Buy An Album From Top Dogg And The Realest ?

vote it up.

im curious to see how many ppl would support a project like this after the overwhelming response in top doggs thread...i like both of these artists in there own right, they are kind of like a guilty pleasure, but to throw them in the booth together just seems kind of wrong.

this is not the kind of energy the west coast needs.

If it's good music then yes of course I will support it. They are both capable of making good music without forcing themselves to sound like Snoop or 2Pac. That shit was 10+ years ago, which is a long ass time lol.

he says he just has a real laid back conversational flow.

realest sounds very close to 2Pac, however ygd isn't as close to snoop as people make him out to be.  Had he not done the song Cindafella, and was touted on the net at the time as being brought in to DR to imitate snoop, then I wouldn't even make the connection.

maybee hes not an impersonator now...but him and The Realist were brought in to imtentionally xound likr Pac and Snoop and they both did their BEST to sound like them....sure now they want to distance themsekves from that shit now cause im sure looking back its probabky embarrassing as hell...but the fact remains....ive listened to noth Top Dogg and the Realist new music...and no thanks...the fact that they both sound different than they did on Death Row only further proves they were both copycats....

I'm kinda curious why you're on this "Top Dogg is a Snoop Dogg impersonator" ride. Even back in 98/99, Top Dogg never tried to sound like Snoop or tried copying his style. The whole "Cindafella"/"Snoopafella" thing is debatable, but the fact is he sounded nothing like Snoop on that record.

I wouldn't buy a solo album from Top Dogg, I wouldn't buy a solo album from Tha Realest and I wouldn't buy a collaboration album either. Albums like that are only good for mp3 collections.
