Its been well documented that dude was a machine in the studio. But were 15 years into his death and seeing the amount of material that has dropped makes me wonder, was all of this recorded in just the 9 months he was on death row?

"R U Still Down" was released after his death but this was old pre-death row material. And I'm not counting the nu-mixx cds since those were just remixes.

All Eyez On Me disc 1
All Eyez On Me disc 2
Makaveli - The 7 Day Theory

^ there goes the 3 albums required to complete his contract (3 albums in 9 months? Go detox!)

He also has songs on the soundtracks for gang related and gridlock'd. Plus songs he featured on (don't stop by dpg, street life by snoop, etc)

So where did until the end of time, better dayz, and pac's life come from, all death row era songs?  Then of course there's the countless unreleased ones (I found one on my computer the other day that featured snoop and bad azz I believe).

Someone fill me in (no homo)

Wrong. "Loyal 2 The Game" is all pre-death row material. Rest is DR tho

i would assume most unreleased material comes from the death row era but as you pointed out albums like R U Still Down mostly contained pre-Death Row stuff. pac was always writing/recording and it's a well known fact that he rushed All Eyez On Me and Makaveli (recorded in a week or so) to be released from his death row contract as soon as possible so it would make sense if most of his material came from his death row period.

That's just insane to think it 9 months he recorded

Aeom disc 1
Aeom disc 2
Makaveli
Uteot disc 1
Uteot disc 2
Better dayz disc 1
Better dayz disc 2

Then there's makaveli and dillinger, one nation, supposedly a lot of material with rapalot, more than likely an album or two with the outlawz.

Shits unreal

Still I Rise, Until The End Of Time, Better Dayz, and Pac's Life album contain recordings from Death Row era (1995-96) except the remix of "My Block" that appeared on Better Dayz (that song was recording was from the Interscope era). R U Still Down and Loyal To The Game all album contain recordings from the Interscope era (1991-95). Most of those songs from those albums were remixed. I think 2Pac love for the recording came way before his time on Death Row. By that time, his level of love for recording was back and when into another level. He was recording constant back in 1994.

Correct me if im wrong but I dont think he was putting these albums out to be released from deathrow, infact 2pac was out promoting Death Row East in NYC a few days before he was shot, Death Row East was to contain Craig Mack, Gangstarr, K Solo, Eric B amongst others, probably the Boot Camp Click, who were also in the studio making songs for 2pacs ONE NATION project 2 be released on Makaveli / Deathrow Records

Makaveli Records was to be a branch off of Deathrow, kind of like Shady / Aftermath ended up becomming.

I believe the reason PAC was recording so much music was because he was out on bail with a real chance of going back to Prison for four years, he wanted to be sure hed have enough music to release while behind bars, he had a hearing in court on September 13th 1996, I believe on that day his bail would have been revoked for violating the terms of his bail.

I've heard this before about the court date. What did he exactly do that would have sent him back to jail? Other than the beat down at MGM, the only thing I could think of that could violate terms of his bail was associating with people with criminal backgrounds.

you don't have to violate bail to be sent back to prison.  Bail is just to get you out until you have an actual verdict from your court trial.  He may have very well been found guilty on several charges.

He also raps a lot about dying.  He knew that many black men like him don't live long in his environment.  He probably really believed he was going to die soon, and wanted to leave as much music as possible for the world.

the court date was on the 12 of sept 1996 and it was for not complying with terms of his release agreement.
tupac had failed to do community service work.rumored to be with a highway clean up crew.

would it have put him back in prison for not complying..?
its very possible he would have done at least 10 days  ,but could go all the way to 4.5 (minus 11 months for time served,i think) years depending on the parole officer.
the fight at the mgm..? that would most likely have sent him back for 4 years plus whatever time they wanted to give him for the fight.
i find it doubtful that orlando would have pressed charges he didnt want to against suge, but at that point i believe the parole officers could still revoke tupacs parole or bail.

parole officers can be some real A holes!
